It's still under investigation, and hasn't been released is the word I found in 2-3 links. Only time will tell...

I am sure cops would just walk in a crowded Walmart and gun a kid down in cold blood. It's always the same old story, some model citizen, loving father, just minding his own business, when the cops gun them down for being black. Then the facts start coming out.

Just like the Brown case. Gentle giant, about to start college, shot in the back while trying to surrender.

Then the facts come out, not gentle, had just committed a violent felony, on drugs, not about to start college, attacked a police officer, tried to get his gun, not shot in the back, star witness has outstanding warrant for lying to police.

Based on your responses I thought you already saw the security footage.

The articles that I have read so far implies that the only eyewitness who saw Crawford brandishing, stalking, and aiming a gun at women and children was the person who called 911. There being only one eye witness, in Wal-Mart is unbelievable. Also Crawford could have appeared incoherent because he was speaking to his girlfriend on the phone while he was brandishing, stalking and aiming a gun at women and children.

this guy's kids don't deserve anything but a tombstone to visit their dead father, right? i'm surprised you can even find lawyers to represent dead black guys shot by cops. their deaths are always justified. what pay day?

I look forward to seeing the video if it's ever released. Until then I can only speculate on what has been released and everything I've seen points to a justified shooting.

Nope, just based on what has been posted in this thread. Sure he could have appeared incoherent because he was talking to his girlfriend, but he also could've dropped the gun when asked to do so. There's something wrong when a person who possesses the cognitive skills to use a cell phone does not have enough common sense to drop a gun when asked to do so by police, not to mention just not walk around the store pointing the gun at people to begin with.

The issue I have is that the eyewitness could have created this false sense of emergency when he called the police. When you put gun, incoherent man, women, children, and some nicely placed adjectives in the same sentence, it creates panic. The police could have entered the Wal-Mart ready for a showdown or that this "gunman" was most likely going to die. If that's the case then the police may not be prepared to put the effort in to get this guy to really put the gun down. If the video evidence shows that there was a very short confrontation between the police and the victim then it just may prove what I'm saying.
