I hope this story comes out. Seems like there's more going on...

i knew something was off with that guy.

if all it takes is one phone call to get the cops on your back with their weapons drawn in the middle of a public space and it's a toss up if you're even going to have the opportunity to drop your weapon before they light you up well, that's a pretty scary precedent for an open carry state.

Is open gun policies in stores going to lead to the police being called to the scene every time someone is holding a gun in a store? And if so, America is in trouble.

No

The liberal elite ... know that the people simply cannot be trusted; that they are incapable of just and fair self-government; that left to their own devices, their society will be racist, sexist, homophobic, and inequitable -- and the liberal elite know how to fix things. I think it is problematic - because the police may adopt a take no chances attitude in relation to anything gun related.

That's not even the worst part.
The Ohio attorney general has said this:
DeWine has said that releasing the footage would be “playing with dynamite” and prevent any trial from being fair.
Yet, according to Ritchie, they went ahead and did this:

The attorneys said that they would also be lodging a complaint with DeWine after Ritchie told the Guardian that he, too, was shown the surveillance footage by officials in the attorney general’s bureau of criminal investigation, who are investigating the shooting.
If that's actually true, doesn't that qualify as perverting the course of justice?

but of course..

A special grand jury called to review evidence in the fatal shooting of John Crawford III, killed by police in an Ohio Walmart while carrying a BB gun from store's shelves, decided today that no officers involved in the shooting will be indicted.

Can't see the video here, but it sounds like he wasn't pointing it at anyone.

watching the video made me sick. the only thing the video shows is how completely easy it is to get yourself killed by cops if you're black. no hesitation, just ran up on him and he's dead.

So the cop killed him because he was black? Have any evidence of that?

I'll take a look when I get home. I can't say I'm surprised by this...

Considering how many white people open carry and don't have this type of issue, what other reason did he shoot him for?

Once you've made up your mind this is about race, there's no changing it. So it's pretty much a waste of time to even debate the point with you.

Val linked to some story that doesn't show any video at all, so not sure what the outrage is about. I suspect the grand jury probably had a bit more evidence than has been posted here on VJ. Grand Juries are notorious for handing down indictments with the flimsiest of evidence, which is exactly what they should do. Hand down an indictment and let the process take it's course. It seems in this case there must have been ZERO evidence to even support an indictment.

A few frames from a surveillance camera never tells the whole story as has been pointed out over and over again.
