I would get arrest paperwork and court paperwork, signed and sealed by the appropriate authority. As to how fast they can get it to you, that's a question for them. There is no way I could know how they operate or how slow or fast they are.

Non criminal and non alcohol/drug traffic violations don't hurt you. So don't lie, You have nothing to hide.

If "dangerous driving" is reasonably equivalent to the US charge of "reckless driving" it's actually a somewhat serious offense (in the US it's a misdemeanor, not a traffic infraction.)

And finally I am not saying your wrong I appreciate your advice truly but I was under the impression the the Isis were only concerned with felonys and misdemeanor was not a bad thing especially with it being a traffic violation. That is just what I read on other posts if I'm wrong thinking this please explain and correct me: )

I'm going to get the paperwork tomorrow. Does it not matter that I was convicted as a traffic offense?

People have repeatedly now told you that it should not be a problem. You probably should have thought of these things before you up and moved to a foreign country.

You were arrested and lost your license for a YEAR for going through a stop sign? That doesn't sound accurate for a traffic infraction. What fine were you assessed? For offenses with regard to immigration the important fact is what is the maximum penalty for your offense, not necessarily what did you get.

No offense intended, but if you are unable to decipher what documents you need to send at this stage, I would suggest that you may need a lawyer for the AOS process. All the forms have detailed instructions that go line by line to tell you exactly what you need to do .

Yes in the UK dangerous driving carries an obligatory disqualification at the least and a maximum of a 2 year prison sentence. The fine was 230 quid.

And as far as documents are concerned after what people have said plus my own research I have applied to get my ACPO and memorandom of conviction. If you go to the crown prosecution service website it will tell you it is a traffic violation and not adhereing to stop signs or traffic lights falls under dangerous driving.

Well today I paid for my certifies memerandum of conviction from the court I was convicted at they said I should receive it with in 7-10 days which is in time however for my police record I hope that it don't matter as I can't provide all the proofs they need so I can't get it. The only thing on my police record is my dangerous driving though. Was my only run in with the law so hopefully all is good and well

On there it said excluding traffic violations so I ticked no

If there's the possibility of jail time, it probably doesn't count as a "traffic violation".

For this who don't believe me if you look at the dangourous driving section is specifies that any disregard for stop signs give way signs or traffic lights is categorised as dangerous driving in the united kingdom. I am aware over here running a stop sign isn't overly bad here

Also I must state that I was on a provisional ( learners license) for motorcycle which I didn't have to sit any kind of written test about any broad rules yes I know stop signs are obvious but hey people don't seem to believe me on my offence just providing proof. To those who have been genuine and helpful and unjudgemental I thank you for everything

Didn't you receive a second letter with your interview letter where it explain about being arrested or detained and what to bring, how to handle that. How much was your fine?

This is how the letter starts:

"Notice to Applicant: If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason, you must bring the following to your adjustment of status interview:

NOTE

You do not need to bring any document relating to any traffic fines and incidents that were not alcohol or drug related and did not involve actual arrest if the only penalty was a fine of less than $500 and/or points on your driver license.

And there is more detailed information in the letter about what to bring if you do not fall into the above category. Too much to print while I am trying to wake up sipping my coffee, but if you don't have the letter I can type the information for you when I am fully awake.

:ot2:

The fact that you were arrested requires for you to bring documents from the court. Please read your letter carefully and find out which is the exact document you need to provide.

Good luck

Wavj, would you mind to scan or show what else they say about bring the documents to the interview? I ask that, because I had to send with my i-485, but since I only had one translated copy (my mistake) I will have to probably get another copy.

Thank you very much in advance.
