US government needs a very big reason to work overtime. Government employees get a lot of money to work overtime, especially on Sundays, so unless they up the fees, working hard is about what you're going to get until they get caught up on the backlog from the USCIS. They should hire more people but again, that requires more money in training, background checks, etc...

~~moved to NVC discussion from K3 process and procedures - question is about NVC timelines not about anythng k3 related and K3 do not do anything with the NVC besides get case numbers~~

If you're the beneficiary...go ahead and pay for the increased fess...nothing will change. As a USC, I don't want to pay more fees. As long as we don't have a miscreant government making unilateral decisions that affect the lives of USCs filing for immigrant spouses...we should have fine!

Best of luck to you and yours!

Not sure what the thought process is at NVC because K1 visas are moving out fast. Yours was received on 8/20/14 and left for Manila on 8/22/14 so we cannot complain but at first when I would ask how it would take they would say 30 days. When I asked why ? They then asked me what type of visa , I was told they are moving all K1 visas out right away. Not sure why they are doing it that way. But like I said we cannot complain. I hope everyone's starts moving quicker as well.

You said the magic word: Manilla. Folks from the Philippines are still getting special treatment from the hurricane that hit almost a year ago.
