Here is my time line:

1) 04/2004, filed I-130 @ Texas Processing Center for my wife while I was a greencard holder.

2) 9/23/2005, became US citizen. Called to upgrade my file to reflect I am a US citizen now.

3) 12/2005 - Got a letter stating for faster processing file moved to California Processing Center.

4) 3/8/2006 - checked case online using SRC# ... tells me:

We received your I-130 petition Feb 6th, 2006. This type of processing takes 990-999 days. I called the -1800 # and they told me this is a generic letter, and I have to wait 60 days from Feb 6th and I should get something in the mail.

Can someone please explain? I am going crazy! I have all the paper proof with me showing original receipt date of April 2004, and them moving my file over + the postal copy of them receiving my cover letter and a copy of my US Citizenship ceritificate and copy of my US passport along with the copy of the I-130 receipt.

Please HELP! I am LOST!

All I can tell you which may ease your mind is that my daughter filed for us in Sept. 2005 and we received the same notification 900 to 999 days and that it had been moved from Texas to California for just that reason. We are now waiting for our NOA2 and it has been just over 6 months, California are slow as you will see from my time line so all you can do is wait ;) It is no good contacting them as you will only get another letter of the same ilk, so just go with the flow.

I have had many rants because of the length of time and it is hard as so many people know on here ,you will get loads of support from the many good people who have already been through it and who are going through it, so don't be a stranger to the board

Good luck on the journey

Thanks for the support. Calling them I am getting no answer. They cannot even tell me if my file is still in California and/or returned back to Texas. Also - I've asked if my Citizenship is reflected on the file and they told me they can send an enquiry which takes 3-4 weeks. What kind of nonsense is this?? If you see, I originally filed in 04/2004 for my wife while I was GC holder. Then after getting Citizenship I asked to update my file. After sending them all my documents by USPS, I get a letter stating file transferred to Cali for faster processing.

After checking my status online, it says they received my application Feb 8th, 2006 and it is taking 990 to 999 days. Please tell me, is your daughter a Citizen? Thanks ...

I am going to contact my congress person and/or my 2 senators ... keep me posted, and don't be a stranger also. BTW: I am sponsoring for my spouse... good luck. Pray for us!!
