My cased was completed at NVC as of July 9th 2014. Since then, more than six weeks already but no interview date yet. I've been calling the last couple of times, but they keep telling me to wait. Is NVC backlog or something happen, why take so long to schedule interview date...I never hear anything good about NVC. I wish someone petition or file a case to the Congress against NVC so they can process case faster...

You not getting an interview date has nothing to do with the backlog at NVC. It has everything to do with how many slots are available, and where you are in the queue and what is going on in your country. Have you checked with the embassy to see if there have been issues?

Like Pakistan they closed it a few weeks because of civil unrest.

Egypt applicants have to wait 3 to 6 months after case complete to get an interview.

Yes there is a back log at NVC on all cases. I am waiting on my AOS and received a letter stating that due to delays not related to my case, my green card case will be delayed at least 6 months. But, getting an interview isn't reliant on NVC.

Welcome to the world of waiting...some more.

I called them yesterday. They told me they received monthly interview slots report from embassy. NVC will schedule cases base on queue...I don't know where I am in line right now. I noticed usually they process no more than 6 weeks, but this time seen to be longer than usual which I felt suspicious that they have backlogs. Oh well, hopefully to hear some good news from them soon.
