Wal-Mart accused of consumer fraud

I'm tickled that the usual conservative mindset seems to be "Dammit, I have a RIGHT to eat pesticides and have it be mislabelled! Truth in advertising is for sissies! Lie to me! I'm a man!"

Otherwise, what William33 said. Wal-Mart's a symptom of a much larger U.S. trade deficit.

I love wal-mart they have all kinds of good deals.

Who cares about there business practice its all about the dollar and thats what business is all about bottom line.

They dont care if you dont shop there for the few that get on their soapbox and so called boycott there are thousands that appreciate the prices and selection of merchandise available.

Your response shows that you know very little of the WalMart's business practices you don't care about.

I love Wallmart and will always shop there. The low prices and the large selection makes it the best retailer in the US. Wallmart has done more for the working class than ANY government agency. They employ thousands, they let people on a limited budget get the most for their money and it is the greatest success story of all time. Screw the libs that hate wallmart. It's just jealousy.

Oh, organic food is for sissies. (ducks) Give me the bad for you, good tasting, cheap, factory processed stuff!

Way to turn a discussion about WalMart labeling non-organic food as organic into a political discussion...

And for the record you're 100% incorrect about WalMart.

The "get Wallmart" attacks have been going on for a long time and it is 100% political. This is just the latest BS attack. And it's you my friend that are 100% wrong about Wallmart. They are the worlds biggest retailer for a reason. A LOT of people shop there and that is because they provide the best products at the best price. They aren't holding a gun to anyones head to shop there or to work there. If you don't like Wallmart then don't shop there.

What you mean the fact that they hire thousands of people and pay them above minimum wage and they have share options and many other benafits that most other chain store dont offer to their employees?

How many local mom and pop stores offer equal benafits for their workers?

You opposed to free market?

I thought that was one of the things about our home land that makes america great.

You think McDonalds or BurgerKing has good medical and dental for their employees? NOT!!!!!

Although many people who have not read it see it as a piece of anti-Walmart propaganda, "The Walmart Effect" by Charles Fishman is actually a very interesting read. I recommend anyone who feels strongly about Walmart (either on the positive or negative sides) to read it. Walmart is not a perfect organisation. However, I don't think it's the devil either. It started off with great ideals which have just been slightly misaligned along the way.

As far as "organic" food goes - the things you can get away with and still label a product "organic" would blow your mind. Walmart is not the problem here, but the FDA regulations on labelling. If you care enough to buy "organic" produce, at least do your research and find out more about the specific items and how they may have been treated - or better still, buy local.

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

They have anything you need from furniture to grocerys and have a very good variety.

I just completed our baby's nursery using everything from walmart Paint, crib, wall boarder and all the little accesories to complete the job and i only went to 1 store.

I think that most people that bash walmart are the type that think they are above walmart customers like they are too good for walmart.

They think if they spend a few dollars more for the products they are buying they are getting better quality but walmart has all the big name brands and i think they have much better merchandise than some of the highend stores.

No, you're trying to make it political. My decision to not shop there has nothing to do with my political views.

Yes, they are the biggest retailer for a reason. The reason is they import more foreign product than any other retailer and they bully their vendors like no other.
