I am posing a question on behalf of my friend whose PD is July 2005-

His Grandfather (Petitioner)is old now and have earned 40 quarters and have SSA earnings, so he needs to fill out I-864W instead of I-864. Now he does not have any income to support 10 ppl, does he have to ask some house hold member to get his I-864A, or is he exempted from i-864A and I-864.

Has any one experienced this?

As he is petitioner so he has to submit his I-864 or I-864W (i am not sure which one) and co sponsor with I-864A. Co sponsor may within same house hold member or any one. Not necessary relative and can be friend. So any one can be co sponsor and needs to submit I-864A. Co sponsor can be different for all immigrating members(10 in numbers in this case)
