By the way, the only way we are going to get them to improve: USCIS-OMPLAINT@DHS.GOV

I think you should post a new topic just with that valuable address! I saved it on my computer for future reference.

Yes but what I would think would be even better is that the VJ management should put it on one oof those stick posts that always stay at the top.

Wait that address is wrong, it USCIS-COMPLAINT@DHS.GOV , You forgot the C on complaint, or maybe I posted it wrong.

I understand the off-shore storage facility is a sunken barge in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. Every couple of months they send divers down to retrieve documents they may need. Some of the documents are hard to find because it is so dark down there.

 That s hillarious, luckily even I don't think it off-shore on a sunken barge, but then sometimes I have that kind of luck!

That is very frustrating! So sorry this happened to you. I'm sure yours is not the only one. Makes us all worried that we too could receive that same message.

Again sorry about this.

Good luck and hang in there.

True, don't mean to worry anybody. But you also know now that they can still find your case if this were ever to happen, this is probably the first time somebody on VJ had that happen to them, so I think it happens very rarely.

Thanks I feel things are breaking my way! :) Good luck to you too! :)

Yes, it sounded like they would handle it as soon as they get it, and I don't know what to make of the last part of it that says:

"FINAL NOTE: Please remember that every person, over the age of 14, who is not a U.S. citizen or in 'A' or 'G' nonimmigrant status, must also notify the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days from when they move. To do this, please complete and mail in Form AR-11."

Hopefully a good omen ;)

Well I am hoping I don't have to deal with customer service, that would be an adventure in pure frustration. My petition had already been approved on 11/29. Last week NVC took up the challenge and started looking for my case. Hopefully I can call NVC instead in a week and see if they have my case.

I have enough ammo now to make them get on the ball, with this letter and NOA2, which is enough to make the NVC people and Congressman fume. :)

Well, I finally found out what USCIS did with my approved petition.

"Dear Sir or Madam:

A review of our records indicates that your file was forwarded to an offsite storage facility. Your file has been requested and we will review the file and update our systems as soon as it arrives. You will receive a notice of action shortly after the file arrives. Please allow 30 to 60 days for receipt of this notice.

For future status inquiries of a petition or application filed at this Center you may want to utilize our National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. If you would like to obtain forms, filing instructions, case status or schedule an appointment with your local office, please visit our web site at www.uscis.gov. You must use the InfoPass Appointment Scheduler prior to visiting your local office."

An offsite storage facility! How wonderful! Well at least they didn't throw it in the trash heap and burn it!

Wow, the approval notice said they forwarded it to the listed consulate and they didn't list any consulate, now I know why  Did you notice they said I should call the CSC for status inquiries

Well hopefully it'll finally get to the NVC

No.I personally think they SUCK !
