Suddenly my receipt no. is not on the USCIS site anymore

I regularly check the status of my application online on the USCIS site. The last status that has shown up was that they had sent a receipt (which is not quite the last thing that happened - I have done fingerprints in December).

Yesterday night and today in the early afternoon the online system has come up with a page to the effect that this receipt number does not exist. I have of course double- and triplechecked the number and it is saved in Internet Explorer when you type something in the field and used to work before, so I know it exists.

Does anybody else have or have had this? (I don't want my application to fall through the cracks.)

Hi....well....my file number actually got changed from the time I made the application and when I got to Cleveland for my interview......also my fingerprints taken with that file number were also gone..........so I have very little confidence in USCIS...I would call or make a infopass appt :) I have learnt to not assume everything is ok :(

Mine is giving me the same message now...but my online status never changed during the whole process (I became a citizen in September).

Well I was going to check mine online too, I then realized my first letter back from the UCSIS had one reciept number on it. The one I did for the fingerprints had another one, and I handed in the official interview letter the day I had my interview to the guard as they keep the originals. I don't think now I had a copy of that at all. So now not sure what the hell the status is. I just wish they could check using the A# instead. That number doesn't change...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...
