We all can feel your pain. My scan date is few days before yours so I know as you get closer to the 60th day the more anxious you feel. For it is because fear of getting a checklist and having to wait another 60 days.

Hi everyone!

I promised I'd come back with an update to my waiting times with regard to the 60 days:

I have just got off the phone to the NVC to find out we have 'Case Complete' at last! (as of 14 Nov). So, just to let you guys know that was on day 51 of the 60 advised (they got our checklist items on 24 Sep). Our initial packet took 58 days to review before we were asked for these checklist items. Total time: about 114 days from date of receipt of first packet (includes time between the initial review ending and the NVC receiving checklist items).

Some (relatively!) good news on the checklist front: I found out that the NVC will not initiate a second checklist - in other words you can only have a maximum of 2 lots of 60 days maximum waiting for review. If any other documents are found to be incorrect/missing etc at that stage they will ask that they are brought to the interview at the Embassy.

Just waiting for my interview to be scheduled now! :-)

Good luck and best wishes to all that are waiting to hear - it's a horrendous process but just hang in there - you'll get to the end soon...

Scan date 17 sept.

We called NVC today on the 60th day and the file is validated.

Nevertheless, they ask us the following:

- update of my financials (bank statements)

Shall I also get new birth certificates and new police clearance documents ?

confirmed. There is a typo on the AOS my brother in law did and they said we should bring the updated version at the embassy interview.

Most K1 cases were 6-9 months and CR-1 were 9-12 months. With the NVC changes, their step, which used to be 2-4 weeks, is now close to 4 months. This is only since june 2014 or so.

Your lawyer was right. Today it's safer to say it will be at least 1 year.

Hello All,

I am new to this forum.

After reading through almost everyone's experience with NVC I thought it was time for me to share mine.

I have sent my AOS form and supporting documents on August 19, 2014 and NVC received it on the 23rd of that month.

I wasn’t aware that both AOS supporting documents and Civil Documents can be sent together. I ended up sending them on September 6, 2014 and NVC received them on the 10th.

My IV fee was ready to pay on September 23, 2014 and that is the date it was paid.

I have received the letter which states that it will take 60 days until they review my documents. At first I started counting from the date my AOS was received, after passing 60 days and not being reviewed I talked to NVC and they said to wait until 60 are due from sending my Civil documents and all the documents will be reviewed at once.

I called NVC last week and let them now I was overdue on both of my Documents (AOS & Civil) without being reviewed. He was aware that my documents were received by NVC on the dates above and the guy told me that he will send a request to a supervisor so it can be reviewed and to check back in a couple of weeks if I hear nothing.

I just called them again an hour ago, the lady reminded me that I called last week and that a request has been sent to the supervisor and it may take up to a month until it gets on supervisor’s hand. I asked her so I can speak to a supervisor myself. She said the supervisor will tell you the exact information I just did. I insisted on talking to him/her. She put me on hold for 10 seconds then she said I am sorry I tried to reach them but they would no pick up.

I think it is not worth calling them since they don’t seem to do much. They tell me stuff that I can already see on my CEAC Summary page.

So basically,

it has been 87 days since I’ve competed and sent AOS and supporting docs.

It has been 69 days since I’ve sent the civil documents

It has been 55 days since I’ve completed my DS260 and the IV fee was paid.

I’ve been really careful with everything that I have sent and double and triple checked everything so I don’t mess up anywhere and yet NOTHING. I am really frustrated about all this and I really don’t know what else to do besides wait all day with my phone on hand for an e-mail like I’ve been holding for a month now.

If anyone experienced anything like this or has any information that could ease my concern or any other information that may be beneficial please do write and I really apologize for this long post of mine.

Thanks!

I'm happy! But sad. Congrats on your cc. I'm October 1st as well with AOS checklist. Now I know for sure they are working on October but I'm afraid that I have another checklist.

Is there a thread for moral support?? I think I will be devastated if I get a checklist!

Congrats again!
