Ask your kawyer if he really sent it. Ask for tracking number as well if possible.

I do not know how fast they really send confirmation email of received docs but in my case, my employer sent docs sept15 and on the 18 i got email already re docs received by nvc.

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it.

I am working closely with an aid in my congresswoman's office. I was told that NVC processing time is suppose to be down to 45 days by the end of this week. That isn't being released officially but they have been working on the backlog and that is the latest news they are telling congressional staff. I was also advised to submit AOS, IV package, and civil documents together at the same time because it makes reviewing them simpler thus speeding up processing time. Who knows if this is true or not, it contradicts what is on the VJ NVC wiki page about speeding up NVC processing times. Perhaps with less backlog this is now true.

Our USCIS case was expedited (the expedite was requested via the aid and approved) and the aid also requested an expedite via NVC at the embassy as well after our case reached NVC. It was denied after three weeks of waiting for a response from the embassy. I was able to speak to the embassy officer that denied the request and I was told it was because nothing had been started on the application with NVC, which again is a complete contradiction of what is on the VJ NVC wiki page about NVC expedites. I was waiting to hear a response before I started. Just goes to show that every embassy is a different bag of tricks. The embassy officer said to start with the normal process with NVC and re-submit the expedite request after they receive everything at NVC. I love how every box has to be filled in on every form even when not applicable yet they can make all other processes up as they go. Never ending nonsense!

I just wanted to share what I am being told from my congressional representative. Does feel good to be working with a government employee that actually works...with intelligence!

10/01 scan date here!

I don't want to get too excited about the "speed up" at the NVC but it beats nothing right? My last scan was a checklist for missing 864 form. I was told my IV package was received and reviewed and it was "ok". They only need the 864 form to close the case.

At this point I'm hoping for a c/c by 12/01 but I think I may get another checklist!

Congratulations to all the members with recent c/c.

Step 6: Submit Documents to the NVC

After you collect your Affidavit of Support form(s) and financial evidence in Step 4, and supporting documents in Step 5, you must submit all of the documents in ONE package to the NVC. Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package.

Review the methods below, and choose the one that applies to your case.

http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html

As you can tell this is from the website for the NVC they are in fact wanting to only take the AOS and IV package as one package.

Wow..i wonder when this changed. I think it's better this way though. Less missing documents, maybe.

my update for this chart, unfortunately I had a checklist for the Affidavit of Support form.

checklist received 9/15

scanned into their system 9/24

also my civil docs were scanned into system 8/25 and I have not heard anything yet if they were approved I think because I had to resend the AOS papers. I haven't been able to call nvc for a month now since I'm out of the US (visiting my hubby)....so I'm getting all updates from you all on what nvc is saying.

I'm not an expert but personally, i think it will be an issue if they really require recent certificate. Because that is one of the requirements for civil documents. Did nvc accept your other marriage certificate?

I think you have to wait for others reply on this if you want or call your consulate if they have number you can reach that entertains inquiries.

Hi everybody!

It's been 61 days today that i'm waiting for the NVC answer and my AOS status didn't change to N/A yet either.

I'm getting worried, this process is too long! It's killing me!

Did anyone have to wait for that long? I see a lot of 50something days...

Both AOS and IV have been sent at the same time but separately, they received them on the August 28th 2014.
