Hi VJers -

Just wanted to say my husband has been approved for the green card. :dancing: Naturally, we are both very excited. We will celebrate our one year wedding anniversary next weekend so this is the icing on the cake for us. I got the text today stating we are in card production :dancing: :joy:

A little background info. My husband adjusted from B2. We mailed paperwork December 11, 2013. USCIS received it December 13, 2013. We got approved for the Work Permit in March 2014....a week before our interview. We had our interview with a rude IO March 11, 2014. Around June 28 we received a RFE for a translated copy of my husband BC. USCIS received the translation July 11th. I got the text today Aug 19th stating my husband green card has been ordered. Overall the process took about eight months for us.....the RFE delayed for about 45 days.

Good Luck to those who are still journeying! I know the wait can be excruciating. Try to avoid RFEs if you can.

Congratulations!! what a journey and even if you guys had to wait this much longer, at the end was worth it. We have our interview today and even when we are ready and have all the evidence that our marriage is real, I can't help to feel nervous. I am praying for at least to be assigned to a non rude IO who won't make me feel even more nervous.

Congratulations!! what a journey and even if you guys had to wait this much longer, at the end was worth it. We have our interview today and even when we are ready and have all the evidence that our marriage is real, I can't help to feel nervous. Hi Hellostrager57, we had our interview yesterday and we were approved on the spot! everything went well and smooth, we had a nice IO and we felt comfortable and confident during the interview that lasted about 28 minutes. Most of the time she was going through the package and writing on her computer. Summarizing the time she spend asking us questions that was only 10 minutes at the most. She gave me an approval letter and explained the ROC process. Hours later I got all the notifications via text/email. Now waiting for my GC in the mail but for now I am ready to start College fall semester next Monday. After the interview we went to celebrate at my favorite restaurant and enjoyed a wonderful rita, after that we went to buy my expen$$ive text books and we came home to rest at last. These past days had been hectic and somewhat stressful making sure we had everything ready for the interview, that once we got home yesterday I felt completely exhausted.
