Not sure about the fees being changed, so check the USCIS website. As for the tests, right now they're doing a test study in 10 cities on a volunteer basis for the new test design. You have the option to participate or not (150 questions now I think). If you decline, you take the old test, if you agree and fail the new one, you will then be allowed to take the old one.

They're right now just seeing what questions they should use and which ones they should throw out of the official new test that they're trying to implement by next year. So it's just a experiment right now...

Well they asked where I got married, where we met why she wasn't there (I didn't think she was supposed to be there) etc, how long we've lived. A trick question of how many times she's been married and I said none (thinking it was other then me) and he laughed and said think about it, and I said ooops 1. Where I worked etc. Things like that.

He had everything I had sent in from the N-400, but I had heard from some people that they were still asked for the information again. So I had copies of bills and everything from the last few months, some from a year or two ago etc. Some pics, yes my tax returns (I got the IRS to send them to me which they do very quickly, though the name of the tax form from the IRS is changed from the one they mention on the interview letter) and also my passport, GC, drivers licence etc.

He didn't look at anything, didn't even ask for my tax copies, he just asked if I filed it that was it. So all the stuff I brought I guess I didn't have to, he told me it's better to be well prepared like I was then to be under prepared like a lot of people, so he reassured me I didn't waste the time getting things ready because I never know, though in my case I didn't need any of them I guess.

I'm in one of the cities that will be a test city for the new test, though I didn't have the option to take it as it wasn't in yet. So I just did the standard 6 questions (he stopped at 6 since I got everything right). Standard questions, who's the governor, stuff about congress etc. All the typical questions I had studied...
