I just got married to my wife a USC and we are about starting the filling process, please an advise on how to go about the filling of the forms and what forms will i need. I have a son that is 11 yrs old that we came into the the country together, we both came on tourist visa . I will like to know what form we will need to fill for him , and please i need an advise concerning the sponsorship part, cos my wife is not working at the moment and does not have any tax transcript, she is in school though, and also she is on section 8 for those that knows that. I wanna be sure that wont affect our filling and hope that not working wont affect our filling as well.

An affidavit of support is required. If the USC spouse does not meet the income requirement, then they will to find a joint sponsor that does and is willing to sign an I-864.

Won't the section 8 public housing assistance hinder their application greatly. It was my understanding that the support document was a contract to preclude such a thing. Would not the sponsor them be obligated to repay the section 8 housing assistance provided by HUD.
