No, you need the NOA2 only. I don't think it has to be non expired since that is almost impossible to do. I sent in my expired NOA2 and it worked just fine.

I am unsure how that even would be possible in the majority of the situations.

No, that isn't necessary. You just have to get married within 90 days of your arrival in the USA.

Thanks...we are still waiting on our Interview date and it's been about 6 weeks at the london embassy and still just waiting on them to schedule a date, and our NOA expires Feb 16. Does anyone know if we need a current one to travel or one for the interview?

No, dont worry about the expiration date. That is actually just kind of a "deadline" for the consulate to be done with your case til then. Don't worry about it. Noone cares if it's expired or not. I think you will have your interview until February 16th. Have you ever tried to call the consulate? That is what I did and they told me the interview date on the phone.

No one needs NOA2 to travel as it is not that kind of document.

The embassy has the ability to extend the NOA2 expiration by another 4 mos if need be for them to complete the case. The petitioner also has the ability to request such an extention (VJ has a link to a form).

thanks...I just wish the embassy noticed that as we are waiting and waiting and everyone else has gotten their dates around us (even though they filed their packet 3 after us)....getting very frustrated and worried.

You can call the Dept. of State in the US at 202-663-1225, press 1, then 0, then 0. Hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. They can tell you the current status of your case and if you have been scheduled an interview date. When I called them, they had our interview date 2 weeks before we actually received notice of it in the mail.

Thanks. Yeah we tried that too and all we got is that our case is still waiting for an interview date..... Now seeing horror stories of the embassy misplacing paperwork and not telling the people.
