The currency exchange window at the local bank. Short line.

Just one guy in front of me . . . An Asian guy who was trying to exchange

Yen for dollars and he was a little irritated . .

He asked the teller, "Why it change?? Yestoday, I get two hunat dolla of

Yen. Today I get hunat eighty?? Why it change?"

The teller shrugged his shoulders and said, "Fluctuations".

The Asian guy says, "Fluc you white people, too!"

I get that all the time at work, ppl who speak hardly any english, cant read it any better, and claim im not explaining the bill correctly.

I have to remember this is a visa forum and to keep my thoughts to myself so not to offend anyone, just like i have to do with my customers on the phone.

I can understand how it must get frustrating for customer service reps to constantly deal with people who do not speak good English. But I've seen CSR's with some really bad attitudes as soon as they have to deal with someone who has a foreign accent, even if they speak English perfectly. I've gotten close to saying something to some of them such as, "Why are you talking to this person as if he were a moron or a jerk? I can understand him perfectly fine. Do you have something against accents?" I don't know what their problem is.

Yeah, I can only imagine how scary it is to have to operate in a completely different language. Especially before you are completely comfortable with it. I can't imagine dealing with that AND dealing with someone getting angry at me because of it.

Very much know how it feels, i got off the the plane in Casa not knowing one word to say to someone, we had had this little talk DO NOT LEAVE ME AT THE AIRPORT ALONE and even in his family, he is the only one speaks english. Often I thought, what would i do?

Here in Okla. Spanish has become almost as popular as English, signs, labels, everywhere you look you see both versions.
