How much evidence of relationship do I need?

Hello,

I am in the beginning stages of applying for a K1 visa for my fiance. I have plane tickets, passports with stamps in and out of the country, pictures of her and I, but the problem is that we mainly use skype as a way of communication.

How can I prove our relationship without any chat, emails, letters, cell phone bills, if we don't use any of it to communicate?

Screen shots can help. Make a habit to screen shot while both of you are on skype. And I believe there is a record when and how long you talked on skype. Print that too. It will show how consistent both of you are talking on skype.

You can use your skype chat/video call logs. By the way, plane tickets, passports with stamps are more important to prove that you met in person . Pictures and chat logs or phone calls are just secondary proof of ongoing relationship. You can also use receipts from money transfer and gifts that you sent.

My fiance and I included the ff on our I-129F packet: plane tickets, copy of passport with stamps, hotel reservation, our pictures together and picture with my family, phone bills, receipt of our engagement ring, and even the receipt of the gifts he bought for me, letters and cards and our YM chat logs....

Passport stamps and boarding passes are sufficient. Pictures are only secondary evidence. I communicated with my husband ( then-fiancé) mainly with video calling on Skype and took prints screen while we were talking. I also had Skype unlimited calling subscription, printout the records, and attached to our I-129F package. We were approved in 38 days without an RFE. Good luck!

Relationship evidence is only needed for the interview except some folks and for some countries, including some with the 129f filing is desired.

You can't....so start purposefully generating these evidences...plus more.

I mainly use Skype with wifi for free chat, calls, and videos, but I also buy minutes

and talk to her when I'm away from wife.

For the freebie ones, if you log into the Skype from a PC,

you can just scroll back in history and print out the chat and call history logs.

For the paid (Skype) calls, you can login to the Skype web site (vs. Skype program),

and can print out the call logs and payment history.

I think it would help to show some contents of your conversation, so let it be all talking only.

This is why we emailed each other regularly and also Skype chatted, to leave written

evidence that we can provide later...though we spent most of time on video calls.

If you're sending money...keep those receipts...send copies of them to your fiance for her interview. You should be fine with a Skype log...to be safe...send recent copies to your fiance prior to her interview...

If you use skype on a computer - using the "PrntScr" button (usually beside or around the delete key) and then coping (Ctrl-V) it into Microsoft word or paint, then save/print.

In your skype account you have a conversation history at the bottom.Just screen shot those conversations (messages and call history) those you would like to submit as evidence. I will attach a sample of that skype conversation history. I hope you'll find it.

P.S. As you can see you can choose conversations like : yesterday, 7 days or 30 days ago to show . Hope this helps.
