Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to ask for some information and answers on on void marriages like bigamy marriage. I have been reading so many conflicting stories over the internet about bigamy and void marriages concerning bigamy which is confusing both me and my fiancee.
My fiancee in the states is coming to marry me and then file for a spouse visa for me to immigrate to the US to meet her. But before all this i want to explain something to you which you can ready and answer my questions base on this.
She was married for so many years and later realized the man was married with kids in another country but before knowing all this she already filed and got the man his Green Card. She reported to immigration and they hunt the man and took his Green Card and then deported him but only for him to get back to the states later on. She tried to file for a divorce to be able to change her name from that of her ex back to her father's name but the DOS and Immigration advice her that its a void marriage and those not qualify for a divorce so she used her marriage certificate from that bigamy marriage and the advice she gathered from both USCIS and DOS and was able to change back all her papers to her real last name. Now my questions are, Now she is ready to marry me but a lawyer told her to get a prove of annulment of the void bigamy marriage which USCIS will use to clear out her already kept records on their system on applying for Green Card for her Ex out as bigamy so that after we get married she can present it with her CR1 spouse application to immigration showing her last marriage was bigamy but she insist she will never pay a lawyer for this service because immigration them selves seize her ex man's GC and confirmed to her verbally that her marriage was void base on bigamy and she used that advice to changed all her documents from her ex's last name back to her real birth name. I told her i saw on the USCIS website every documents required from a US citizen when filing for your husband and annulment is part of that but she said she must come and marry me without annulment of her void marriage. Now she went to court and they confirm to her that she was never ever married to him before because her ex was guilty of begamy by marrying her while her was having another wife and kids. They told her the marriage was never valid by US laws so it means she was never married to him. My questions are,
1) Void marriage base on bigamy i understand is a marriage that never even happened at the beginning, so why part of the USCIS requirements to produce such annulment base on such types of cases when immigration them self acted base on that her marriage was void by retrieving her ex man's Green Card and deporting him or is this annulment required by USCIS for other types of marriage problems?
2) Secondly will USCIS approved her application file for CR1 visa without any proof of annulment even though they told her its a void marriage?
3) She told me immigration deported her man and later the guy returned back to states, is this possible because to my understanding he was supposed to be ban for life?
4) Immigration are refusing to show her proof that they deported the man because they said those are only for their records and their job is to retrieve his green card and deport him because of voilating US laws by him engaging into begamy marriage but they only told her he was deported and his green card taken from him, how true is this?
I am so clear in my questions so please read respond to all of them thoroughly please.
I await your respond

So did I.

Perhaps she has moved on?

Maybe this is the guy she was cheating with, and now he is posting with the same problem with her, her bigamy.

The only thing that makes sense.

Chocolate is back I see and under a new name :P

There's so much bull in this story and I don't know if this is a troll, a scammer, or a naive man believe or not understanding the bull being given to him, but given the other two threads (at least one of which was deleted) I'm siding on troll/scammer.

That being said, in case this helps ANYONE who reads this, when there is bigamy or any other grounds for annulment, the spouse in the marriage that needs to be annulled needs to file for an annulment decree in the Family Court of their local jurisdiction. That Annulment Decree can be used for USCIS or other purposes in place of a divorce decree. This is a civil decree, just like a divorce decree. Just because a marriage ended due to bigamy doesn't mean you don't go through the official legal process to get it recognized by the government.

And if there is ANY chance this thread and the previous ones are real, this guy needs to run away from this woman as fast as possible because the story makes ZERO sense.
