Although I agree with everything you said, I feel I should point out that TSC is technically beyond 6 months. They post their current processing date as 12/31/2013 so that is well beyond 6 months. Many of the recent January and early February filers approvals were more than 180 days and I am rapidly approaching that myself. Granted, they seem to be picking up speed with several 150 - 160 day approvals so that is indeed good news for many.

P.S. I haven't heard "Cool your jets" in ages...got a laugh out of that...thanks :)

Well...good luck with everything. It's quite a process...and very frustrating, to say the least! Glad you got a kick outta Cool Yer Jets! LOL.

Take Care! Keep me posted on your progress...

I have been looking everywhere today for information on this as I have been thinking I made a huge mistake and sent my I-129F to the wrong location when the only address I found on any official USCIS website was the one in Texas. I live in New York City. So Vermont isn't processing them anymore? Is that why it appears that they happen so much faster there? So glad to have found this thread.

Question for the post from Ed & Gina. Can you tell me where you got your information about the processing times? The USCIS web site says Dallas is the only office experiencong delays. Where did you hear that Nebraksa had a backlog, as well? I just filed the I-129 and NSC is my routed office so any help on where to find this info beyond USCIS's site would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nebraska does not process K1 visas - it is currently TSC (Texas) and CSC (California). If you are from Chicago, your petition will be forwarded to CSC.

Your I-129F petition was sent from the Dallas lockbox to the NSC for processing? Nebraska only handles the I-129F for those that are already married and seeking a K-3 visa, not unmarried for the K-1.

No, sorry, it was not routed to Nebraska. It has not ben routed at all yet, but I had thought it would go to Nebraska SC because that was listed as the regional center for Illinois. But thank you both for the clarification. This makes me feel a little better!
