My husband has a 2nd interview on Sept 22 nd. In the email it said he needed to go on line and complete the DS-260 prior to his interview. He already completed it when he did the first interview. Now the email did say to call NVC for our invoice number but I didn't I just used the original invoice number and when we logged on the DS-260 said it was complete will we have to get a new invoice number and re do the DS-260 or are we okay with the one he completed for his last interview.

you sure it was the DS-260 and not the DS-230?

No you won't get another IIN? you sure thats not just standard veribage. if you submitted it and you already had an interview and they had it there's nothing else you can do about it.

He should please visit www.state.gov to complete the online DS-260. His DOS Case Number is xxxxxxxxxxxx. You’ll need to contact NVC at NVCInquiry@state.gov to get his invoice ID number. The full instructions are available on our website at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html.

This is what it says in the email it doesn't look like standard verbiage but I am not sure and I just want to make sure we have everything we need done for this interview...

That's just the standard blueprint email it was sent in error. Obviously they have your ds-260 because you already had an interview. Just ignore it get ready for interview and you will be instructed at interview if there's anything to do or bring.

I also recently recieved a similar mail asking me to fill the same form ds-260 & which i filled more than a week ago despite having filled a form that had similar questions & info back back in march or april of 2013.I'm also having my second interview next month. All i can suggest you do is shoot the US consulate a mail & try explain your situation. The ds-260 i understand, was required from all immigrants starting from September last year.I hope my input helps.

Why second interviews???? I thought it's only one interview?

Sometimes if a case is denied at interview it is sent back to the USCIS and you may have a chance to prove why you deserve a second interview. This couple was granted that opportunity to have a second interview and prove to the CO why the visa should be granted.
