Biometrics Appointment- Separate AP Appointment?

So due to family circumstances back home I've been trying to expedite my AP. My original biometrics appointment was set for the 20th of August, but as my husband and I were a few doors down from the biometrics place this morning sorting out health insurance stuff we decided to try a walk in so that all that should be sorted before I send my evidence in for the expedite. I explained the situation, the guard was sympathetic and found me a slot, but after taking a look at my form (upon which I had listed the numbers for my AOS application, EAD application and AP application) that the appointment was for EAD and AOS only, not AP. I asked whether that was because the EAD and AP come as a combo card and he just looked a bit baffled. He told me he could do the biometrics for EAD and AOS today but I'd have to wait for an AP biometrics letter to arrive in the post to do biometrics for that.

Looking at my biometrics letter, it has two barcodes at the bottom- one with the EAD# and one with the AOS#. Am I right in thinking that I won't need another biometrics appointment for the AP?

Thanks for that, I was certain I was right but the guy's confused face had me worried that my walk-in attempt was in vain!

They replied on Wednesday asking for evidence. The funeral date still hasn't been set but once it has I can provide the evidence they've asked for. Hopefully the walk-in will pre-empt the request they would have made for me to do biometrics before they could approve the expedite. Fingers are firmly crossed!

It sounds like you've done all the right things. Let's hope USCIS are sympathetic to your situation; they really ought to be.

For your information, I've seen some reasonable prices on ba.com recently.
