i think there are bigger, long term issues at play within the ferguson police department. if that underlying trouble isn't squashed, this will just keep on happening.

I doubt this police department is any different than most in the U.S. This one just happens to be getting the attention right now. If the robbing, police assaulting guy was white, we'd never even know about this. Unless maybe someone here lived in the St. Louis area.

I don't know anything about the Ferguson PD other than what I have read concerning this case. I have no doubt that there are incidents of racism concerning police in every state in the county, but I also don't believe that every time a black person or any other minority encounters a cop it is a case of hate and racism. The majority of the people getting arrested have committed a crime. They aren't being pulled out of their beds for no reason.

i read this morning that darren wilson's mom was a con artist or something. does that mean that he is covering stuff up because he's inherited his mothers criminal genetics?>!?

Let's be perfectly clear. Everyone is speculating out there right now. That means, you, me, the press and the crowds marching in Ferguson. The people marching are mostly peaceful, but there are several people from out of town who show up with the purpose or creating riots, burning, and looting.

The problem here is to avoid the lynch mob mentality in which someone is automatically deemed guilty by anyone. The facts will come out in court if it even goes that far, and a jury can decide. That's how American justice is supposed to work. Unfortunately, too many dummasses don't understand criminal justice America 101.

You need to pay attention to your own words. If that's the case both sides are guilty of this "lynch mob mentality". You, for example, appears to believe the officers version. I don't believe one or the other because the general account from either side have questionable details.

I would run this past LIB. I hear he can do some tests in his lab and always comes out with some astonishing results.

I don't think the officer even has a version of the story at this point. At least not that's been released to the public. That's kinda the problem with all this speculation.

The cop's version has been told to us through bits of detail via the chief of police and the source that told us Brown "bumrushed the Wilson". But no there hasn't been any official Darren Wilson statement.

First the reason for looting and burning was a black person got shot in the back, Now the story has changed when it was shown that the reason for shooting a black thug was an assault on the police officer...Now it is we need to burn down businesses and loot because the police took too long doing the crime scene......
