What's the proper procedure? If this was the case, someone should be held accountable just like anyone else. If the police chief would go to the family and apologize for the improper handling of the body, I'd wager most of this ####### could have been diffused.

The problem is, it takes for them to act up in order for anyone to see what the problem is. If they sit back and say nothing, then nothing happens. The system should work for everyone.

I don't think there's a past investigation at any time or anywhere where an ultra-minor mistake or two wasn't made. If it's not somehow exactly perfect, (nevermind that it has nothing to with any kind of evidence,) then that's somehow racist.

In my opinion Marvin, if Brown went after Wilson's gun, then Wilson has a legitimate reason to fear for his life, injuries are secondary.

Exactly. You try to grab a cops gun and the odds are extremely high you are going to get shot. If this is what happened, the kid made a poor decision, just like TM did when he attacked GZ regardless of whether GZ was out of line for following him.

Let's be perfectly clear. Everyone is speculating out there right now. That means, you, me, the press and the crowds marching in Ferguson. The people marching are mostly peaceful, but there are several people from out of town who show up with the purpose or creating riots, burning, and looting.

The problem here is to avoid the lynch mob mentality in which someone is automatically deemed guilty by anyone. The facts will come out in court if it even goes that far, and a jury can decide. That's how American justice is supposed to work. Unfortunately, too many dummasses don't understand criminal justice America 101.

But I also think that common sense dictates that you don't attack cops and try to take their guns, IF that is what happened. Poor decisions on Brown's part. And like TM, it cost him his life. i think there are bigger, long term issues at play within the ferguson police department. if that underlying trouble isn't squashed, this will just keep on happening.

So if they showed a picture of the cop playing with a toy gun when he was a kid, that would be a convincing argument that he obviously could have shot Brown for the fun of it? By your logic, that would be strong evidence.
