Interesting info on the Brown shooting.

I always thought the friend of Brown has downplaying something. In some of the first videos posted on here he said they were just walking down the street when Brown got shot.

A video with Browns mother, she said she saw him running down the street.

I understand emotions run high and one may have misspoke.

As more accurate info comes out we will have a better understanding of what happened.

In the meantime its a good excuse to loot

The best outcome in a home invasion is a dead invader. There should be rewards given out to people who kill burglars. Not just trophies, but actual cash. Maybe 10,000.00 would be good. If they had previous invasion....maybe double it.

Also give smaller cash rewards to homeowners who just wound a burglar....say maybe 5-10%. This will give the homeowners/lawabiders a good reason to "finish the job"

An interesting description of the area:

I have attached a map of metro St. Louis. St. Louis City is bounded by the heavy red line. The Mississippi river along the right boundary divides Missouri from Illinois. The city Proper is it's own County. The areas surrounding the city on the 3 sides labeled North County, West County and South County are all parts of St. Louis County. County areas bordering the city are generally incorporated suburban towns.

Within the city proper, I have drawn a line and labeled the 2 halves, North Side and south Side.

The North side consists of many dilapidated abandoned and burned out buildings that can generally characterized as section 8 ghetto's. This area of the city is where 80% of all violent crime within the city limits occurs. The area labeled East St. Louis (Illinois) is also a very high crime area. East St. Louis contributes substantially to crimes committed in St. Louis and surrounding areas.

In recent years (beginning in the late 1960's), The city, particularly the north side has lost population. There has been a steady shift from North side Ghetto's to the inter city South Side and to adjacent North County towns. These areas include parts of University City, Wellston, Pagedale, Bel-Ridge, Jennings Ferguson, A good part of Hazelhood, blackjack and now, most of Florissant.

With this population shift out of the city, crime has also shifted, mainly to the north west areas listed above and to a lesser extent to South city areas.

City governments in most the North County areas listed above have become corrupt and are now policed by St. Louis County and State Patrol.

The number of available police for now is adequate for the level civil unrest that has recently occurred in Ferguson. The burning and looting has largely been contained to small areas and some sporadic looting on the near South Side.

There have not been enough details made public about the shooting in order for any rational person(s) to arrive at rational opinion much less judgment. I expected the NAACP and Al Sharpton to become involved. I'm not sure about the legality of calling on the FBI to investigate.

The looting, burning and some rioting was obviously unlawful and some arrests were made.

Do I care? yes, but not really. The looters and protestors, as usual, burned and stole from their own hood, dumb.

It's funny that only white people question this. We're not a hive mind, but I'd say that every black person knows this instinctively.

If a mob of black people were to try and loot in a white neighborhood, what do you think would happen? Do you think they would try and defuse the situation before shooting? Would they say, hey we're armed, could you please leave? Do you think for one second it would be a peaceful resolution? How much restraint would be showed? How much sympathy, before the killing would begin?

Black people are killed for a whole lot less, and the killers are rarely if ever brought to justice. Even with evidence, video, and eyewitnesses, it's almost impossible to get a conviction when something like that happens. So, what do you think would happen if a bunch of black people showed up and looked to cause trouble? There would be a massacre. Most likely it wouldn't make to court, worse, if it did, all they have to say is we felt threatened. Not guilty. Now, once again black people look like animals and folks would become more trigger happy. It's bad enough all you have to do is say you were scared for your life and you can blast away without fear of getting locked up if it's a black person.

It might be dumb to you, but for them it's about raging without being shot and killed. Maybe they were angry, some even stupid. But to ask why they don't go outside of their own neighborhood to a place that would carry out a death sentence without hesitation, seems a bit more dumb to me.
