hilarious that the argument is, i'm not scared of black people so no one is.

The other argument is that black people aren't welcome at parties in the suburbs. That one is hilarious as well.

well when the flip side of that argument is, every white neighborhood in the country wants to shoot black men, then at least one example of an this where it did not happen, is ok right?

I mean I missed the part, in which you told marvin. Someone was rude to you at one party, so that proves every white person in the world wants to gun you down ?

You mean that trigger finger wasn't twitching even a bit?

No but I did keep an eye on the wimens

that's not how i read his comment, he gave a personal anecdote. i doubt marvin believes white people in the general suburbs of the usa have a gun ready and waiting for him.

But yet when NB makes a comment that is almost identical but coming from the opposing side of your position, you dismiss it out of hand. Fascinating.

Here is his direct quote

Marvin said--'My friends weren't the problem. When you're in a all white neighborhood, this is the norm."

But yet when I gave just one example, when it did not happen you got all goofy.

I think you got your what should bother, you and what should not mixed up .

It's called liburul selective relative moralism outrage disorder.

Well thing is my comment was not even close to identical. Marvin spoke to "all white neighborhoods"

Here is my statement-- "Not the Norm here. I had a young black male kid in my house the other day. came over with a neighbors teenager. I never once thought of getting my gun. I did feed him"

I only spoke to my neighborhood, as at least one neighborhood out of the ALL Marvin spoke of. but yet somehow Val thinks I made a silly blanket statement and Marvin did not .

Epic Fail

or it's called you relaying a story of your own actions. you invited a black kid into your house and fed him. i would expect as much from you, considering you're not a racist.

marvin, i'm sure, has more than one experience of nervous white people in the suburbs reacting poorly to his presence. i have a couple of those stories myself. on the other hand, i know black people that live in the suberbs right alongside everyone else - as i'm sure marvin does as well.

it's not selective. it seems like you guys really want to believe that this sort stuff just isn't that common and black people are have a victim complex of sorts.

Not the norm in North Texas. Maybe you should move.

I did 2 years in Fort Hood. 1995-1997. I'll say for the most part I was surprised. We only had one really bad racial incident I was a part of. Black guy dating a white girl, he started abusing her. Things got pretty divided fast. It was one of those times when I'm glad I kept a cool and rational chain of thought.

not the Norm here. I had a young black male kid in my house the other day. came over with a neighbors teenager. I never once thought of getting my gun. I did feed him. Marvin, maybe it's jst you that every white person in the world has a problem with

Good for you. That could be the problem. Maybe I'm just too menacing :ranting: ...

My friends weren't the problem. When you're in a all white neighborhood, this is the norm.

Like I said, they have guns in those neighborhoods as well. Even in the stores, to protect them from being robbed. The reason they're not shooting them, probably because they understand the rage. Insurance covers it.

Funny that when anyone here speaks of "The Norm" in black neighborhoods across the country, you go into a head spin, about seeing all blacks as the same, or judging a whole group of people, or holding you responsible for the actions of others. You label them racist. You talk about them in terms, like those who hate black people.

Yet you have no problem doing it in reverse.

This is from my experience and quite a few others as well. On the other hand, I've been places and had people treat me like I was one of them, and I was the only black person around. Different places, different experiences.

Because when anyone speaks of the Norm, what are they talking about? All black people are thugs(not true), lazy(not true), ignorant animals. This is the only thing discussed here when it comes to the black community.

But when I point out, why black people don't riot outside their neighborhoods, it's an issue.
