This is interesting. Granted, I'm quoting from a righty blog, but the tweets from the "mercenary" company seem genuine.

On Tuesday Assymetric Solutions tweeted out that they were being deployed to Ferguson, Missouri.

This comes after several dozen North County businesses were looted and destroyedby violent protesters this week in Ferguson.

Missouri-based private security contractor Asymmetric Solutions, which employs elite former U.S. military special operators, tweeted Tuesday afternoon that the company is deploying a “high threat team in our own city”.

When responding via Twitter to a request for information, a spokesperson said

“we cannot professionally hand out that information, regardless of client or location. We put a security team of former SOF personnel into the STL area at the request of a client.”

Or maybe they will make a public report when they have sorted through all the evidence instead of releasing it piecemeal? I guess it's possible.

They give information, such as the robbery and you guys claim they are just trying to sway opinion. They don't and you swear they are covering up

they gave information 'unrelated' (their word, not mine) to the shooting, instead of information directly related to the shooting. i'm not 'swearing' they're covering anything up, i'm saying - at minimum - they are pretty inept at being peace officers.

They are probably waiting on forensics evidence, tox reports. did they find dna on the gun etc. Best to be right before you start pointing fingers, so you don't look like the race baiters and the Governor of Mo is going to look

Very important points. If the kid went for the cops gun and/or the cop had injuries from Brown, there goes the innocent guy shot by racist cop while minding his own business theory. Or if the opposite is proven, the cop is guilty of murder.

I was thinking at least the folks in the Rodney King trial had the patience to wait for the verdict before they starting burning and looting. That's the problem with kids today. No patience.

I fond it odd that they cause trouble in their own neighborhood. Why don't they go cause trouble with the cops at the police station since they're the ones they have the beef with? Why interfere with everyone elses daily lives?

Look at Rambo when he had a beef with the cops. He went and blew up the cop shop. Although I think he did cause destruction throughout the rest of town, so maybe not a good analogy.

You got cops saying f****** bring it animals. They would shoot them with no regards, and then go order take out.

What would be the outcome if they stormed the police station? Do you think that restraint you're talking about would be showed if they showed up? There would be a slaughter, period. And there wouldn't be a trial.

Obviously they can't storm the police station, but the peaceful protesting is the way to go. It's a shame that in all of these types of situations a few have to spoil it for all. No different than after a sports team wins a championship, people celebrate but a few have to get carried away and burn cars etc. This behavior isn't race specific by any means.

I think I understand now. They wont go cause trouble with the folks they have the beef with (the police) because they might get shot. However, they'll ruin a bunch of other people's days loot. steal, burn etc. because they're less likely to get shot. It seems like you just made a really good case for the 2nd amendment and people arming themselves. One of the complaints I hear from the gun nuts on a regular basis is "I should be able to protect myself when the cops can't"

No, what I've done is shown how black people are viewed in this country.

Ask yourself. Do you really think if they showed up to the police station they'd be restraint in terms of how they deal with the protestors? There are rules of escalation that don't get followed all the time. Same logic when people ask why they tear up their own neighborhoods instead of the burbs.
