They have committed to a course of action.. People generally don't change after that point, its become an outlet for pent-up anger.

A ton of money went into non-lethal weapons in the 90s and early 2000's .. Did we get nothing of use besides the ability to launch tazers at a distance? I remember the shows demonstrating the new technologies it seams they were more concerned with crowd control than one-on-one.

I was thinking more about the initial attack where they killed the kid and this second guy today.. I remember seeing this super sticky substance they could squirt that would expand when it hit a person and instantly immobilize them where they stood and a second chemical had to be applied to free them..

I'm not sure I'd want better crowd control tech - at least not for civil disobedience - they had that microwave machine that made your skin feel on fire that could be fired at crowds but did not do any permanent physical damage that they removed from Afghanistan over fears of the torture device it could become.

Yeah I know what you mean. I saw something where they sprayed a chemical on the ground and it made it impossible to stand or walk. Maybe a little impractical. What about those sound weapons they use on commercial freighters? Seems like that would be a decent crown control option. Fire hoses still work really well but that prob brings up bad memories of the 60s.

Career Advice on How to Become An Executioner

Do you really want to include executioner as part of your job search? The bottom line is that waking up in the morning, putting on your pants (or even more disturbingly your skirt or pants suit), getting in your car and then throwing “the switch,” doesn’t seem like the best way to make a buck. Consider for a moment that there are confirmed cases of people being put to death who were actually innocent. Unfortunately, very unfortunately, there is no reset button in life. We can’t just undo a mistake of that caliber. Bottom line, do you really want this job?

Career Facts:

Either you will find this job stressful or you are a scary person. A bad day at work is not making your sales quota or screwing up a proposal. Imagine coming home and having your wife ask how your day was only to respond, “Oh it was horrible. This guy just wouldn’t die. I had to flip the switch six times.” Yikes!

Making this entire even worse, most of time the job of executioner is part time, and doesn’t even pay very well.

Career Opportunities and Job Outlook-Unknown:

Who knows what the future holds for your mild mannered executioner. If states start abolishing the death penalty there will be less executioners, but if more states adopt the practice there will be more executioners.

Most executioners have other jobs. On the days that they have to “go into the executioner office,” they have to kill someone. However, on all the days that no one needs to be executed, Jerry Springer, Tyra Banks, and TV microwave dinners it is!

I mean, who has remorse after doing the country a favor? Scourging the streets of unwanteds is a thankless job. Not unlike caregiving for those with disabilities.

You can't.. If he is charged with murder then he will not be put on administrative leave. Being taken off active duty is standard procedure when there is a shooting involved. Its that assuming he is guilty ahead of time part that threw your logic.

My logic isn't "thrown". He is guilty.
