I watched it and heard the shots as well. At least 20 shots were fired and nothing ever mentioned about it since.

Are you talking about the first gunfight or the second ore the third?? The second gunfight there were several hundred shots fired by both sides... There were also additional explosives including a pressure cooker bomb filled with nails and five grenades.

When the third episode happened and the second bomber was apprehended:

“A man had gone out of his house after being inside the house all day, abiding by our request to stay inside,” Mr. Davis said, referring to the advice officials gave to residents to remain behind locked doors. “He walked outside and saw blood on a boat in the backyard. He then opened the tarp on the top of the boat, and he looked in and saw a man covered with blood. He retreated and called us.”

“Over the course of the next hour or so we exchanged gunfire with the suspect, who was inside the boat, and ultimately the hostage rescue team of the F.B.I. made an entry into the boat and removed the suspect, who was still alive,” Mr. Davis said. He said the suspect was in “serious condition” and had apparently been wounded in the gunfight that left his brother dead.

it's not about sides. it wasn't last week and it isn't now. either you take issue with the state of policing in the u.s. or you don't.

you either have a problem with cops executing people or you're cool with it.

I do have a problem with cops executing people, however in this case I don't think that is the case

Attacking a cop is a violent crime.

Val last week, I was all on this kids side. However after examining all the evidence we now have, it appears that he cop was justified. It has nothing to do with race.

The same irrefutable evidence that you based your logic on as to why the cop was justified in his actions mirrors the logic of individuals who believe the cop is a murderer. The only thing that is common between both stories are that a struggle occurred in the cruiser, at least one shot was fired in that area and that Brown was shot and killed 30ft away from the cop's car. At this point neither side is right or wrong.

I would never, ever applaud the cop that shot that white kid because he was wearing headsets and didn't hear the commands. I don't care if he had a rap sheet as long as Bush's ears. I don't approve of the killing of people for non-violent crimes.

The crime is not relevant.. A police officer should only use deadly force if :

1) They are in immanent danger

2) someone else is in immanent danger

Does not matter if the other person is a nun or Hitler or just murdered a thousand people.

Originally the claim was that there was not struggle in the car and that he was running away with his hands in the air.. That does not fit with the autopsy report. Another witness said he was holding the kid with one arm and shooting with the other - the autopsy does not support that.

Those are some big assumptions. When an unarmed person attacks someone with a gun, it usually doesn't turn out well for the one with no gun. And why do you say the officer was going to shoot him anyway?

Those are some big assumptions. When an unarmed person attacks someone with a gun, it usually doesn't turn out well for the one with no gun. And why do you say the officer was going to shoot him anyway?

Dude, I had a cop to pull me over one. I am only like 5 ft 150 lbs. He had his hand on his gun the whole time he talked to me, even with my hands on the steering wheel. One wrong move he would have shot me.

Now, let's imagine this same cop have to confront a 6 foot dude over 200lbs. The trigger finger itches because they have all been taught the big black guy is out to get them. unfortunate but true.

We got KKK in the police force. What do you think they are teaching the cops? Not peace and prosperity with blacks and singing Kumbaya

Again, I think that's pushing it. I've seen cops out here in suburbia rest their hand on their holstered gun without undoing the closure snap. I've also seen a cop undo his holster and put his hand on his gun after pulling someone over who started to get out of his vehicle after the cop told them to stay inside. This is in 95% white suburbia where a cop hasn't fired a weapon in the line of duty for 50 years. Welcome to 2014.
