Where are you entering your NVC case number (starts with 3 letters) into? should be at https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ under "IMMIGRANT" click on "Check my visa application status"

... i've just paid the visa $240 it says enter receipt # but then received this message

"NO Valid record can be found for the entered receipt number"

what should i do?

I don't know how it is done in Philippine, but for China, my fiancee had to go to a designated bank to make

the $240 payment and they gave her a receipt number, then the next day I went into the system from US

to enter the receipt number, but it automatically showed up...so there could be some time lag on

when the receipt number gets fed into the system.

So did you pay online directly, or did you go somewhere to pay and they gave you the receipt number?

If they gave you the number, I recall on the screen you could just manually enter it.

It seems like you are getting that message for one of 2 reasons:

1. Your receipt number has not be entered correctly (or system hasn't processed yet to pick it up yet).

2. Or you entered your case number wrong.

I believe until the receipt number is registered to the system, the system also didn't allow us to

make the appointment.

You must just paid...

I think there is some time lag for the bank system to feed into the site you are accessing

because they are 2 different entities.

Like I said, for us it showed up automatically after 24 hours,

but I don't know how long is the actual lag.

I think you'll be fine. Give it a little bit of time.

after your payment, before you can schedule interview.

Seriously, I would wait until overnight to start even worrying about it. 4 hours + Philippine systems = ? Once I was home 4 days before BDO took the money I had gotten from their ATM from my account.

Manila is 12 hours from EST, so hopefully right now (3:07 am) he or she is sleeping and not stressing and it will be OK when they wake.

Take a deep breath, relax and hang on to the receipt. I understand, I am just as anxious as you but on your 10th wedding anniversary you will wonder what the fuss was about.

Please read your instructions for the embassy or consulate in your country for the K1 Visa. In some countries you don't pay until the day of the interview and at the Embassy. The immigrant Visa CEAC tracker may only say Ready through the day of the interview and even beyond. Ours said Ready forever. Then after the interview it went to Administrative Processing then Issued. Most often these websites are not updated with any kind of regularity. If you are concerned at all email your embassy with the instructions from the State Department.
