It might be a good idea to get an appointment beforehand, too! As I recall, the med exam is good for 6 months...that should be enough time for you to get everything together and have your interview. It seems that it takes about 2 months from the time that Manila receives your package that they will set up your interview appt. But, it's advised that you don't rush to get it too soon. Generally, it takes 2 days...maybe 3, depends on your situation, for the med exam. Also, it's best to go a day or two after your monthly cycle...the examiners at SLEC will as you what date you ended your cycle...mostly for purposes of determining if you might be pregnant.

Good Luck!

Asking if how soon can I take my medical? What are the requirements needed that I should bring.

Do you medical about 1-3 weeks before your interview. The medical takes about one day, maybe two at best. We have seen the "early bird" get finished in one day but this can only be accomplished if all "your ducks are in a row". Don't schedule your exam during your menstrual cycle as you will need to return to complete the medical exam.

See Hank's handy dandy guide. http://visaconnection-philippines.com/# Select the tab "Medical @ St. Luke's". Follow the information closely and you will glide through your SLEC exam.

My wife went to her medical after i sent the AOS package. It was early but I'm glad she did because she ended up having to do a spuctum test which has a two month wait time for the results. By the time we get the results we should have an interveiw date. If you wait till you have a interveiw date and then get your medical you will have to reschedule if you have to do a spuctum test, which I am told is a common thing at St.Lukes.

Sometimes an interview spot opens up quickly because someone cancelled. You would hate to have to lose that spot because your med is not done yet. So do the med so you can jump on an interview spot as soon as you see it.

Worst possible result is the med expires because of more than 6 months and you have to repeat it. But the chance of something like this happening is quite small so not a bad risk.
