Got unwanted date for interview-green card(HELP!)

Hello everyone,

I got an interview date on September, 23rd 2014 for my greencard. I already used my AR 11 form because we are moving to another state. My questions are:

1. Can i change my interview date earlier? if so, how could i do that?

2. Could we request service center near our area? We live in Cincinnati, Ohio now and i got the interview in Detroit, Michigan. That was our home area before we moved.

The AR-11 is not enough to tell them about a change of address when you have a pending case. You also need to call them. They tell you this on the NOAs.

You need to call them, tell them of the move, return the interview notice and tell them of your move, and request a new date.

You cannot be interviewed in Michigan anymore because you moved to Ohio. MI no longer has any jurisdiction over your case.

You must return the interview letter and follow the instructions though, or you will be denied for not going to your interview.

Each local USCIS office only has jurisdiction over a set area. Should you move out of one office's jurisdiction into another then the old office cannot (or at least, should not) approve you because they no longer have jurisdiction over your place of residence.

If by the time that interview comes around you have moved, or will have moved, then you cannot be approved at the interview. You should call the USCIS misinformation line and explain that you have moved / are moving but have still received an interview letter for your old residence. You may wish to make an Infopass appointment to explain this in-person, too.
