So we have been getting jerked around a bit by the NVC. We have received several checklists (latest on 8/7) all referencing that we need to complete the online DS-260. Thing is we completed the online DS-260 in May and have a confirmation number for it. When we speak to the call center folks, they state that they see the online form has been completed but they are confused as to why no one has reviewed it. Making matters worse they have made references to missing documents (marriage and divorce certs), which were in the civil docs packet I sent (100% sure as I made copies of all sent docs and went over the packet with a checklist)....then after they look at the notes, they see other notes that say the certs have been received. Then they seem confused and ask me if I know what is going on! I told one lady that I have never received a checklist for missing documents - she told me they would not tell you you are missing documents, just that there was a problem...I asked her if NVC does not tell me what is missing and the call center people do not know what is going on, how am I to remediate the problems (if they exist at all)...she told me I had a good point. Not helpful. A week ago the call center person ordered a "Supervisor Review" which after a call today has not happened yet. I am really losing what is left of my faith in my government here...anyone else have these types of issues occur?

several times during this process the NVC has given me incorrect information causing delays in this process. I have been told on thing by one operator only to call back (sometimes the same day) and to that the information given to me was totally false. I would suggest two things. Call back and try speaking to someone else if that does not help you the demand to speak with a suppervison. Two weeks ago I called and was infomed that my ds-261 had been skipped, that operator sent and email to her supervisor and it was processed that day. I hope this helps. I don't know whats going on up there but its not right.

Tell me about it.

I send AOS fee then IV fee then DS260 and civic document.

they send me check list. I corrected and send new I864.

they send me one more check list it didn't make any sense so I call them they said just ignore it we are still reviewing and has not got through civic document. Told me to wait.

I call again after month and they said we send you checklist to send us marriage ceriti/birth ceriti. I am 100% sure I did send that.

I had to make another copy send them that and call them after week they said we are under process of reviewing it.

Got the email that we need PCC. We started that process.

I called again NVC as I received email saying case is complete. how is it possible? I called them again about it to confirm and they said yes case is complete and we don't need PCC but then why send email.

oh well case is complete and waiting for visa call. I called twice to make sure. both time they said yes it is complete.

Can you call and ask to speak to a supervisor? Don't ask for them to review, demand to speak directly to a supervisor and then explain what is going on.

I know what you mean same here everyone at NVC gives you a different story every time you call them I think on purpose just to slow you down and this 60 day to review your documents is a joke on us whom pay them our hard earned money for slow shitty service and we're the ones suffering

When my wife and I got her first green card I cried multiple times. I'm well versed in the ways of gliding around and through bureaucratic bullshit but the USCIS and the NVC have special dehumanization departments that treat you like garbage.

Meanwhile, the immigration services and federal police I've had to deal with in Brazil and Canada were just amazing people, though thorough. They did their jobs well without making you feel like scum.
