I came to US as a graduate student and I met my husband last year. We got married in February of this year. He is getting all the documents required for him to petition for change of status for me ready. However, for the past 3 years he never filed for tax and is currently self-employed. At one time, he was on food stamp. Is it possible that a person with such record can successfully file a petition for me, his wife? Thank you.
