NVC Received but no case #

Hi all,

My I-130 for my dad and stepmother was approved on August 4th by CSC and forwarded to the NVC for consular processing. Since then I've been calling the NVC every Mon-Wed-Fri to see if my case # is available.

Today they told me that they just received my paperwork today (8/13) but it has not yet been assigned a case number.

Question is, how long after NVC receives the paperwork do they assign a case #? Also, should I continue calling 3 times a week as I have been doing?

call after 30 business days I was told to read the noa-2 approval letter.-by the nvc officer

Give them time to review your case. Call them after 3 weeks.
