@favor367 ds-160 is for the applicant even if you do it for him/her, they (the applicant) have to electronically signed it. Also there is a sample on *vj example forms*

I found this very interesting. we do not need to submit an affidavit of support? According to the USCIS website, it states:

Affidavit of Support For Fiancé(e), Spouse, or Child as a “K” Nonimmigrant

If your relative is either a “K-1” fiancé(e), a “K-3” spouse, or a “K-2” or “K-4” child of fiancé(e) or spouse, you do not need to submit an affidavit of support at the time you file your Form I-129F petition. Instead, you should submit an affidavit of support at the time that your fiancé(e), spouse, or child adjusts status to permanent resident after coming to the United States.

Oh I'm sorry. I got confused. You guys are talking about ds-160. How come it turned out to be a topic about the affidavit of support? Does it have a question about te affidavit of support in ds-160? Because I don't remember. I (the benieficiary) filled up and sent the form online. Does my fiancé needs to file ds-160 too?

Any advices on what to do next would be greatly appreciated.

My I-129F was approved aug. 4th, shipped to NVC on aug 12th, called them aug 20th to get my MNL#, 6 days later checked ceac website and it's already in Manila. Everything's going so fasssst. I'm not complaining but at the same time I'm freaking out coz our requirements for the interview is not yet complete. :(

My petition was approved 12 August, shipped to NVC 19 August, and received today 27 August. They (obviously) haven't assigned a case number yet, but I guess that's just around the corner!

I talked to a senator's representative about this and she said it can be up to around 6 weeks.

I'm so frustrated, we sent in our application and it was received on February 20th. Still no status update, no NOA2.......i'm going to the local office tomorrow with an appointment to beg and plead for our case to be processed! It's over 6 months now, we're at the Texas Service Center, which keeps increasing its average reported time on the USCIS website. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh so frustrating!

You need to call them. They will notify you but it will be long after they have already shipped it to the embassy.

4-6 days after uscis shipped to nvc I would start calling. Once a day or every other day.

I (Todd) am the petitioner from the U.S. / Beth is in/from Philippines
