Got a text message they sent my noa2 to nvc today!

Official NOA2 8-12-2014. Notification of shipment 8-19-2014. But I read in a thread that someone called NVC 2 weeks after NOA2 & they confirmed they received it from USCIS & gave him his Case # & then told him to call back 1 week later to verify it left NVC to the consulate abroad. So maybe I should just got ahead & wait till Tuesday, 8-26-2014 before calling to verify NVC received it from USCIS.

But some of people's cases do get shipped once they received NOA2...in your case it's on AUGUST 19TH....it's totally different because they didn't send your case on same day you received NOA2..If i were you I'D call 8 days after it has been shipped..I don't count Sundays...so you should called in on THURSDAY...advice :)

We got approved on July 29, 7 days and will reach one month.. Still no mnl number.. Plus my fiancé is annoying.. He doesn't want to call nvc. He doesn't want to stress himself by calling ?

Your case update should say something like it has been shipped to Department of State or National Visa Center....start calling starting from the date of it been shipped...wait 8 days and then tell your fiance to call...of course NVC will send you a hardcopy stating your case has been shipped..that's what i read somewhere...

You can't do the DS-160 without a Case # if I'm not mistaken.

You can't do the DS-160 without a Case # if I'm not mistaken.

I believe you can coz they just need the USCIS case number instead.

To my understanding, you need the NVC case number to pay the fee and schedule medical.

Guys, did you all get any message or your case status was updated saying your case was sent to NVC? it is going to be 1 month next tuesday and we havent heard anything about our case being shipped to NVC. my status still says that my I129F was approved on July 28th and thats it...USCIS cant give any info. and NVC still doesnt have it ( i called today).... like why am i so unlucky one :( Sad time

No.. You don't need case number.. I already did it. It didn't require me to have case number.

I receive a text aug 21st that my case was shipped to nvc duh I didnt kno I have been callin them only to find my case hasn3 been shipped yyt until I received d text from uscis. Ds 160 is the information about you and you fiancé.. Just get it in the US website. Or wait, I'll send you the link

Yes, you have to wait, and in some contries they schedule it for you.

Where does it say that you have to fill out this form DS-160? I can't find it...

Ds-260 (if I'm not mistaken) is the form for immigrant visa, but since fiancée visa is non immigrant you have to fill up ds-160. It's in US visa website. It's one of the requirements

Thanks, just found it on the consulate website. I was looking at the embassy info page here on Visajourney and it's not there, that's why I got confused...
