You and I are in the same boat, I applied in July but my NOA1 text message came in on 5 Aug. so technically that is when it was received and accepted, even though my USPS receipt says they received it 31 July.

Like yourself I have been following July forum, but heck who knows I looked at Igors list a few August filers after us and one before got their NOA2 in the last couple of days. just the way the ball bounces.

lucky you are in California,i am at the verge of giving up even,Texas is the most confuse center,i wish i was in California

Giving up after two months of not getting your way? Are you serious?

Are you sure you are prepared for marriage??? Never been married myself but I am not pup either. I do know one thing life is just not fair i have had to start over financially twice but i never gave up.

I spent a year and half away from a girl friend and i was in one the worlds worst holes and i never gave up.

I trained for six months and backpacked the appalachian trail from end to end and i never gave up not even when a tornado touched near by, i got hypothermia all alone and had to treat myself. Severe sun burn you name it i never gave up.

My fiancee has worked for twelve years in foreign lands thosands of miles away from her folks to make a better life for herself. She never turned and ran, Part of why we chose each other is we wanted someone who would be there and would not give up on each other.

So I ask if you are ready to give up after waiting for about two months on something you knew may take a year to.rpocess when you stared it, are you sure you want to marry this person?

Ok i was to harsh. I tried to edit it but it would not let me. Sorry

Don't want to get too much into this. But with your papers going trough CSC you can't really say anything.

We wait more then you do. My friend January filer got her visa in hand after 10 months. You will get it in probably 3. So just NO.

But I do like all the stuff you wrote up here. Very encouraging.

And I wish you all the best. May we all get approved soon ?

It has been said before on here, but I'll say it again: it's easy to tell the CSC petitioners that they "don't get it" or "can't say anything" like they don't have a right to complain or tell other people to be patient, which is pretty ridiculous. Waiting is waiting, no matter how long it is for, and all of it is incredibly difficult to endure. The anticipation and the waiting is equally as painful and stressful for those waiting 2 months vs. 20 months. Telling someone they can't relate is unfair. hopeful 4 xmas may have been harsh and slightly judgmental and condescending, but they are right. We all get frustrated and overwhelmed sometimes. It's an incredibly unnerving and complicated process, so that is understandable. You wouldn't be human if you didn't get upset from time to time. The whole point behind it, though, is eventually being with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with and they are worth going to hell and back for.

So even though the visa process is basically just an expensive, time-consuming, stress-filled bureaucratic waiting game within a very disjointed and broken immigration system, it's what has to be done to be with the person you care so deeply for. And you'll do whatever you have to do to be with them. If you really do feel like giving up when things get hard, it may be time to evaluate whether the person you're doing this to be with is actually who you should be with. Because this isn't the only difficult thing you will encounter in your marriage (no matter who you marry). But if you can make it through this strenuous process, you can probably pummel through any other obstacle that presents itself in the future. Just remember that.

I am the petitioner.

No. You cannot be serious about that.

Telling someone they can't relate is unfair.

Disagree. If you haven't been in the situation, it is possible to try and imagine, but not to relate.

The whole point behind it, though, is eventually being with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with and they are worth going to hell and back for. ,,,,,, it's what has to be done to be with the person you care so deeply for. And you'll do whatever you have to do to be with them.

Yes. We agree completely on this point.

Alien Registration number updated on 08/29...but still not received hard copy of NOA1...we called the USICS and they said they'd get another sent out and that hasn't arrived either.

Getting a little worried about that now. Wedding day is supposed to be 24th May 2015...but not sure if that will happen with the current shitty timings at Texas.

Anyone know if you can request for your case to be transferred?
