Congrats! the A# (Alien number...usually A +9 digits) is going to be your file number that USCIS uses to identify you. You will mostly use the A# with most communications between you and USCIS!

Congrats!

Congrats! Your approved case will be forwarded to your local US consulate (that you listed on your forms when you filed your petition) for interview processing! The approval and expiry dates are just a set time frame within which you should be processed/interviewed. Also note that the expiry date can be extended by the consulate if there is a delay in your processing! Good luck to you.

Ah understood and thank you very much!

After one month you can call USCIS to get them to resend. I'd call them now and see if you can talk them into resending early. Make sure you double check the address with them they are supposed to mail to.

Hi dizzdemey,

Is your fiancé trying to get a UK police very? I got mine a month ago (used to live there) and did not need any of that info. Or is it a different country's?

If it is the UK, the endorser of the photograph can be anyone who has known him for a few years, nothing to do with the immigration officer. Tell him to follow the detailed instructions on the form.

The police certificate form questions regarding immigration officers don't apply to your fiancé when you think about it. It states clearly ''if you have been provided this'' and references it in regards to being sent directly to the embassy. Police certificates will not be sent to the embassy in question. It will be sent to your fiancé, as they will need to bring such documents to their medical and the embassy themselves.

The endorser however is important, and there is instructions on the form as to whom should be filling that out.

If you'd like to double check with them try giving them a ring, can't hurt. https://www.acro.police.uk/Contact_Us.aspx

We're at 224 days and still can't get anything out of USCIS. I filed an inquiry and was told to check back on March 19th. Spoke with them about something else last week and they told me my inquiry will take longer. Every time USCIS gives me a date, they move the goal posts and push it back without adding any information or substance.

How is this miserable agency allowed to operate without any transparency or accountability?

wow, that is insane. It may take you a year to get a K1 visa. In hindsight, a CR-1 would have been the better option. Heck, cancelling halfway and changing your address so that your petition would be sent to the CSC would have been a faster option. That sux.

Oh, absolutely. I'll call back as one person told me, even though someone else said it will take longer. I cannot fathom the lack of accountability for USCIS behavior, though. The service desk supervisor admitted to me that they aren't told what happens at the service centers. The InfoPass likely won't have any more insight, either. It's a freaking black hole and the service desk just puts out misinformation with each call.
