Looks like they're into the latter half/third of the month now, so hopefully it'll be any day now for most of the folks here.

I'm hoping. Our son's first bday is tomorrow and it's hard not having Scott here to celebrate with us.

Maybe it'll come today or tomorrow - that would be one heck of a birthday present for the little guy! Wish you guys luck, that's a rough spot to be in for sure.

I'm sure I'll keep seeing you around here for a while as we move into the next steps of the process. I'll try to keep you in the loop with anything that comes up for us since we'll be dealing with the same UK shenanigans.

That's what I was thinking but wasn't sure.

I called NVC, and when you actually reach their answering machine it gives you options to talk to the representative only if your status was sent to the NVC more then 35 days ago. :clock:

From what i've read so far about NVC, its better to call them early morning or late, from 8pm going. if you call and it says "due to call volume", hang up cuz it'll hang you up anyways after few minutes, just keep trying until you dont here the "due to high call volume", then press 2 and wait. some people were told to wait 35-42 days but the called the next day or 2 and got their #, some also called and they were told NVC does not have their files yet, but their embassy contacted them they have it.

I called after 10:00PM EST since I heard that 7:00AM to 7:30AM and 10:00PM to midnight is the low traffic time for them. You are right, that is exactly what I did, hang up whenever I heard "Hello, due to the high volume...", and then called again, over and over for about 30 min, and then I heard the different message:"Please listen carefully since our options have changed...", and she said to press #2 only if my application was sent more then 35 days ago... my application was sent Feb 26. so I hung up. Maybe I should have just played dumb, and hit #2 and wait for the representative!? But then representative might categorically reject my inquiry since it is less then 35 days...

I think that they just changed this for July/August filers since the volume is so high, I wouldn't be surprised if they change it to 60 days next time I call.

If anyone has any info on this, please post.

Thanks

Just call and ask, most people get it within 2weeks, for some reason, files coming CSC takes longer during the NVC period than TSC files
