Stay positive stay positive stay positive stay positive and do not moan do not complain do not moan, do not complain. What I say myself.

What I really think, I need to find a better job here in Russia and let my love move here. This is ridiculous, but I don't believe in Santa... oh TSC anymore. We need to be able to plan our lives. Enough.

Hi! We waited 5 months just like everyone else except expedited country filers (Phillipines and Ukraine). In December I used a contact in my home US Senator's office. The only people who strike fear into USCIS are Senators with oversight committee responsibility. My Senator wrote USCIS and contacted them using the liaison and got the same snippy response that they were only on May petitions. On January 23 we got our NOA2 (about 1-2 weeks after we heard back from Senator). We were early August filers and I know our inquiry pushed us to the front of August approvals. I used to answer Senator's congessionals and trust me they definitely motivate people. I would encourage you all to lean on your Senator. They work for you!

My fiancé has engaged with his senator on numerous occasions. We are August 4th filers. Pushing seven months now and nothing. in short, they were as useful as a set of D cups on a petite nun.

Do you know hundreds of people call their senators and nothing happens? It is so annoying when people think their case was moved up for "calling" a senator. Do you know there are non-Fillipino filers in the TSC in September/October that have gotten an NOA2, yet they didn't make a call? There have also been a few August approvals and none of them called their Senator. Just admit you were lucky and didn't "influence" anything. There are people that have done a lot more than you in terms of contacting their elected officals and nothing has happened. You DO NOT know how USCIS works. Technically they are working on Late July anyways and you have no clue how each caseworker's load is divided. So please get off your high phorse thinking you are better than everyone for bugging your Senator because I guarantee you it did not work that way.

How is the economy in Russia? Is it easy to get high-paying jobs?

Interesting reply. Have you tried senator Boozman or Cotton? I Just wanted to share what has worked for me and I didn't put anybody down. I did not say i felt better than the rest or put more effort in it than anybody else I am an average citizen. You need to calm down and get yourself together. I don't believe this is a place to insult people. If you don't like what I say don't read it. This process is hard for everybody so no reason to be rude. Good luck to everybody.

I've been checking in on Visa Journey since we sent in our petition at the beginning of August. Patiently waiting for the months to pass, until 5 months had passed.

Around Christmas I had enough of waiting with no updates or progress. I got a tier2 to put in an inquiry, website says they responded 1/5/2015, have not seen or heard the response. Next was to get Senator Sanders office involved. In my correspondence with them I pointed out the time difference between CSC and TSC to which USCIS responded with their standard form letter.... all service centers are processing in 5 months blah blah blah.... the same as we've seen. Several attempts by the senators office for some response resulted in an email from an USCIS representative in Washington sending them an email stating that our petition was approved on 02/09/2015 and forwarded to NVC. Excited. Yes. Then a few days later I was a little suspicious so I checked the case status site, same message as before " your case was received.......". So the next step was calls to the service center. Tier 1 and Tier2 responses were the same, " case is still pending". so needless to say I kind of feel like I've been lied to once again but I cant prove it either way. I am hoping that we can move on to the next step, as we all are, I hope it is not just a way to shut me up for a little while.

If it was an approval I should know by the middle or end of next week.
