I just called USCIS to see what their 2/11/15 update means for us August filers now that they're still working on June 25th and she refused to help or give me any answers. I asked if this means as of now ANOTHER 2 months and she wouldn't say. I feel so helpless and let down. :( I dont know what to even think of this anymore. I was really feeling positive and thought this would be a good month for us August filers.

My coworker just applied for her visa this month and got approved in 9 days because her fiance is in the military. It took everything in me to congratulate and be happy for her. I am now seething with jealousy, and feel even more frustrated at our situation. I guess we aren't going to get approved until March.... and with the interview and all that other stuff, we won't be able to move until..what, May or June? Can't believe this is going to be a year long process. So ridiculous.

Hey VJers,

I am started to get really p*ssed off by the USCIS, I tried to submit a case inquiry on their stupid website which clearly says:

"If your application type is not listed in the processing time table on our website, our goal is to make a decision on your application within 6 months of filing. Please wait six months before submitting an inquiry"

After I filled out the form and clicked on submit I got the following response:

Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage.

Did I just miss something?? It's been six months!

I'm seriously starting to lose my sh*t over the way they treat us (please excuse my language I really need to vent, I'm trying not to smash my laptop as I'm typing. :ranting: .). I know it takes about 200 days to receive an approval these days at TSC and we're not expecting to get it any sooner but they should seriously stop lying and messing with people like this especially over the phone. I called about 4 times and always got different information from them.

What pisses me off the most is that we're doing it the legal way, we pay the same fees as CSC filers but we have to wait 7+ months to hear from them???

We requested an expedite on January 6th for financial hardship but they literally ignored it. They might be too busy expediting Filipinos cases.

I've been trying to remain calm and positive about this process because I knew what we were getting into, but this case inquiry BS made me furious.

I'm officially going to start raising hell... I don't know how yet, but I'm going to.

Oh that sucks sooo much for you :(

I would hate it too. Plus you have to be nice and pretend like you don't mind too much. 9 days is sooo short, I mean, good for them but that difference of treatment is just so unfair

I did the same last night with the same results, as the receipt notice is 8/12/2014. I wasn't sure if I needed to go by that or the notice date of 8/14/2014...I was going to try again in a few days to find out.

Ugh so my meeting proved to show just how rude and behind the tsc is. The congressman had me call on speaker phone. They were downright rude, as expected. He finally chimed in and said something along the lines of having more compassion as we are people too. He asked this woman if she is goes home at night to a significant other. He then said imagine you can't, for months. Add in a baby who cannot see his dad. She flipped out on this man. Well it may not end well for her. So anyways, he asked for written information pertaining to my case and why there is a hold up. The response was a stupid form letter and they state that as of today, they are only working applications received prior to June 6th. Ugh. Seriously?!?!

Here it is;

Greetings:

Thank you for your follow up inquiry on behalf of your constituent, regarding her pending I-129F, Petition for Fiance (Receipt Number: The constituent expressed concern that his petition has not been processed within the posted processing time.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that his petition is pending at Texas Service Center (TSC). TSC is currently processing I-129F petitions received prior to June 06, 2014. Please note that estimated processing times are processing goals and not a guarantee that applications will be processed within the estimated timeframe.

USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security and compliance with all relevant directives. If your constituents case is outside of the current processing time and your constituent has not received notification from USCIS, he may check the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov or call the USCIS National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 for updated processing time information.

To track the status of an individual case, customers may enter their receipt number in the Case Status box on the USCIS websites homepage or call the National Customer Service Center. The receipt number contains three letters followed by a series of numbers and can be found on a receipt notice or biometrics appointment notice. Customers may also register online for automatic updates by clicking on Sign up for Case Updates under Services on the homepage.

The ability to track individual cases is only available to customers whose cases have a receipt number. For cases with an A-Number, customers can monitor processing times, but USCIS does not provide individual status updates.

We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of assistance in the future, please let us know.

Sincerely,

Immigration Services Officer Congressional Unit

USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner...... Doesn't this make you want to hurt someone? Their response is so incredibly vague and irresponsible, that if this were a press conference, the general public would assume that we are just a bunch of whiners who can't have it our way. The language that they use so calmly really makes my blood boil.

My fiancé and I can't take much more of this. I've reached the point of considering putting myself through tough financial hardships just so I can spend time with my future wife and unborn child. I am so very sick of this process.

185 days with nothing but the same message hat I have read 185 times from the wonderful and committed USCIS. 26 Mondays waking up excited and happy and hopeful for the coming week. Countless breakdowns because the future is so uncertain. Countless refreshes of this forum which has become one of my top sources for compassion, comfort and most of all understanding. It's hard to stay positive. It truly is.

I don't mean to state the obvious but, Monday is a Federal holiday. I don't think we will see anything happen till late next week now. I hope everything will be fine. But after how they talk to a Congressman, I mean it's not looking good.

People who are committed achieve results. The lack of results from USCIS speaks volumes about its commitment to adjudicating immigration benefits.
