AUGUST 2014 K-1 FILERS (TSC)

I really can't get my mind to grasp how they rationalize this process.

They want you to prove your relationship is real. They want you to spend time together. They want photos of you together, if you have them. Then they make it difficult for you to visit each other.

They want you to be able to show family support or prove that you know (preferably) or know about (usually acceptable) your fiance's family. But they deny immediate family (bride's mother?!) a visa to attend the wedding.

They want to see that you have genuine intentions to marry. Most couples want the wedding of their choice. This takes advance planning. Yet they will give no estimated timescale whatsoever (and fall miserably short of and keep changing those posted on a whim) as to when the process may be complete. They sometimes ask for proof, but at the same time print in ALL CAPS that you should not make any plans before you have your visa in hand.

They want the petitioner to prove adequate financial resources to support the fiance (and family, if applicable), but the TSC filers are spending a fortune trying to maintain two households at the same time.

The list goes on. I've quit trying to figure it out. It's brain activity that could be better spent elsewhere. Rant over. For now, anyway. I might be back with a new one tomorrow .....

I couldn't have said it better. My frustration level is through the roof.

Try not to worry too much. I see that your consulate is London. Is your fiance not a UK citizen, perhaps? Or is her mother a citizen of another country? I'm assuming she's not British or she would qualify for the Visa Waiver program. The denial of tourist visas is common for some countries if they think that the applicant might not return. There are several people on here who have applied for a K1 visa and not been able to visit due to denial of a tourist visa. It seems to have no bearing on the K1 being granted unless there are criminal related issues or an existing ban is in place. I'm assuming neither apply to your fiance or her mother. See if you can search for similar stories to set your mind at ease. This process is difficult enough. Every worry you can remove from the process is a good thing. Hopefully this is our month.

My Fiancee lives and works in London but is a romanian citizen. Her mother works and lives in Italy but is still a Romanian citizen as well. We think she was denied because she has no assets or anything like that that would tie her to the country even though she has a job and had a note from her boss. I feel like had she applied in Romania she would not have been denied since she owns a house there. It kind of threw us off track because her mom was one of a few people that would have been coming to the wedding on her side but now we are just thinking to go to the courthouse and get married and later down the road when her mom comes we will do a ceremony.

Hello people i just want to say i know how each and every one of you feel i was reaching 6 months today and feeling really low with the whole TSC nonsense. Every time delaying, lying, and blatent rudeness. I was feeling a huge meltdown coming on, I went to check USCIS status a million times a night like always lol and this is what i found.....

Case Was Approved

On February 6, 2015, we approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number SRC14903*****. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I couldn't believe it, and still don't I keep refreshing the page to make sure it is not a mistake. No RFE at all thank God .. well I front loaded with about 400 pages and i included the beneficiaries passport copy and birth certificate don't know if it helped or not. I also wrote a good heartfelt letter about how we met 3 pages long. Over 250 pages of chat logs and 53 pictures mostly of us together, me holding her in my arms, at a birthday party i made for her etc..

well best of luck to everyone and i am praying for u all. try to distract yourself with the coming steps and paperwork. I also prayed a lot.

Thank God this part is over i thought we would not hear until at least march 7. It seems they have started august now and it is not just a random approval.

Have faith this is what God wants - for you two to be together and it will happen. it is also almost one full year since we saw each other last due to work and money. I think we got to know each other better in this time and were forced to work together to get to this point. maybe that is why USCIS do this to us, especially the not common countries to see if we will make it through.. i dunno... best of luck, God Bless, take care Ricciardo.

Congrats, really happy for you.

Congrats! It took you 183 days! Good luck with the next steps ahead! Keep us posted with what happens.

We're at 172 days with our application. Our timeline gives us an estimate of between today and March 27, 2015. I'm not going to lie, I'm losing my mind here without her. I haven't seen her since our engagement in June 2014. I'm trying to save up vacation days for the wedding, so I can't even go see her during the holidays. It sucks! But it will be all worth it when we are finally together.

Praying for all of us! At the end of the day, things will happen when they are meant to, but does it have to be sooooo loooong?!?!?! haha

Tsc is really slow and its quite frustrating..all this waiting does blow my mind, Lets hope that it happens soon.

Because they wrongly list their processing center as TSC when they are actually at CSC.

They were processed in California, they have just put in the wrong Service Center. A lot of people doesn't realize that, yes, they send their application to a PO box in Texas but they don't know that a lot them are then shipped over to California.

I have messaged these two members and kindly explained this to them and asked them to update their timelines as this messed up Igor's list and the timeline predictions.

it looks like TSC died or something. I think DACA pushed us off completely. Is there a class action lawsuit here somewhere?

My understanding is that DACA will be processed in Arlington, VA.

I finally got a call yesterday afternoon asking if I could meet with that congressman at my local Senators office this morning about issues we are facing with this process. I'll let you all know how it goes. Hopefully I'm not wasting my breath!
