AUGUST 2014 K-1 FILERS (TSC)

Hey All,

I've been 'lurking' on these forums since we submitted out application for the K-1 in December and even more so since we were assigned to TSC. I just wanted to tell you that seeing these initiatives like the change.org petition and writing your congressmen and women are so extremely inspiring. Since seeing the last update on the possible transfers, I'm moved to join these actions because it seems they can make a difference. I'll be writing my New York representatives to support John Carter's office's initiative.

I just wanted to say that even though not everyone posts on these forums, I think there is a huge population of people who come here for passive support and encouragement by reading others who understand the pain and frustration of this process. I know I signed the change.org petition and have badgered all of my friends and family to sign without ever posting on VJ. I think it speaks volumes that the petition has reached 250 supporters in just several days, I have no doubt we will reach the 1000 mark by the end of the month. Just know there is more support out there than you realize, and never stop fighting for change because you have an army behind you that you can't see.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Stef and I have been workibg hard to get the word out! I just set up all the social monitoring on NUVI for the campaign/words etc. Once I have more data we will be able to use it to target where things are trending. Thank you for sharing, every day I wake up excited that we have more signitures. I promise to keep working on it when I can (slammed at work, papers for my masters and a 7 year old lol), Stef has done an amazing job rewriting and targeting on Reddit these past few days and Erika Presson has been soo onboard helping. It's honestly sooo helpful, anything you ever needed to know about the K1 is laid out super easily for you (she has awesome lists etc.) Best, sorry if they're typos lol I'm rushing at work

Thanks Kristine. And thank you for writing to your local representative to support the effort being conducted by my local rep on all of our behalf. I too have signed the petition, so hopefully change can come as a result of these various efforts.

I signed the petition. To be honest, I think these things are more symbolic than effective, but it can't hurt.

I was a little hesitant about signing the petition too but I said to myself if it doesn't help our case now, maybe it could help in the future. It could be our families and friends. So I signed it. We need a change. And thanks to the crew that put all their effort into this. May God answer our prayers for a fast approval.

Based on reports, sadly yes. Early July is being processed, a few Junes are still waiting. Gonna be a couple more months it looks like. Which means the time lines for us later filers look to increase futher...

Hey, you guys..soooo I just received e-mail that my fiancee and I are approved...!!! I am happy but at the same time, we feel like it´s too soon because our lawyer has to fix something in order for our K1 Visa not to be denied at the interview

Yes, i know but they work in different orders...I never called for expedite or anything related nor did I contacted TSC. My twin sister, got approved on Sept. 24 of 2014 ..after 7 months I believe.
