It surprised the heck out of us too, I was settling down to a late Feb, early March approval. Obviously for April and myself it is great news but does highlight the inconsistencies in the system. I keep my fingers crossed that this will be the beginning of more August approvals. Good luck all.

Congratulations. This is good news.

Congratulations spahawk, I'm sorry if my comment in any way seems like I was not glad to see you move forward. I am just beyond paranoid on Igor's list, when I see a TSC filer with a faster approval. 80% of cases it's either someone who screwed up the listing (meaning they are actually at CSC) or a Filipino expedite.

I understand the frustration in people screwing up their Timeline, causing everything to be confusing for us all. I think he knows you wish him well on his VJ... I hope we see more good news in the coming week?

Just bumping this thread to the first page so that it's easy to find when all the random August approvals start rolling in later today.

Wow cool. Do you know something that the rest of us don't about pending approvals wbeem? Good news if it's true. Y'all should start an August approval thread, if you haven't already.

BTW, whatever happened with that lawsuit thing you were considering? Just curious...

9/8/14 - I129F petition sent to the USCIS lockbox via USPS
9/11/14 - Petition received @ USCIS lockbox

We know nothing. If we had some good info, trust me, we'd share it.

I called my Congressman's office again on Friday and spoke with his Chief of Staff. He told me that if this were a few years ago, he could help us. Now, he says Congress's ability to intercede on our behalf with USCIS has been pretty much gelded.

The Writ of Mandamus is still an option, but it takes a potential of a couple of months. By that time, we'd probably be through the system to get our petition approved. It's a bit of a game. If we wait and they don't work on our petition, then that's time wasted to start the suit. If they continue on course, the suit could be money wasted.

All I know is that a couple who filed one day after us in CSC just got approval with visa ready to come to the USA, and we're still waiting for TSC to do the first step.

I'd love to write a letter to USCIS Director Leon Rodriguez and tell him to pull his head out of his ###, but there's no contact info to send such a letter. Imagine that. I can contact the POTUS, but not the USCIS Director.

You can also find Donald Neufeld's e-mail address on VJ (just search his name). He is the service center director.

Don't think either will do anything but those are two ways for you to express your concern about CSC vs TSC.

Thanks. I agree that neither will do anything. If they wanted to actually work for a living, they wouldn't wait for a letter from me. However, there's something satisfying about writing a letter that you know some underling will read, telling the boss to pull his head out of his ###.

If it's written well enough, it may get circulated to more of his underlings.

I was introduced to a man yesterday who works in congress and in the White House. He was told about my visa journey and asked me how it was going. When he heard my fiancé hadn't seen his son in 10 months, how the system wasn't productive or honestly doesn't make sense...he was upset. He took my information and talked to me not only about my journey but other stories on here that I related. He called me today and wants to meet more to discuss this. I doubt it will help any of us, but it could help others in the future. I'm making a list of common complaints because the system is so ineffective.
