I think the fee is $240, yes in addition to the $340 already paid. I know right! This process is not cheap. Is all worth it at the end for love.

It is definitely worth it! I just want to be prepared. This form is something that we complete on the US side? It's all confusing.

The DS-160 is a form you fill in prior to your interview. At least in Stockholm you do it electronically online, don't know if all embassy's are like that.

Do we both fill it out? The US citizen? The foreign citizen? So confused. I'm sorry!! Lol

No worries, I'm sorry for being unclear :)

The DS-160 is filled out by the beneficiary (foreign citizen) prior to scheduling the interview. I have filled it in twice before, once for J1 and once for F1 Visa. It had questions about what type of visa the beneficiary is applying for. Questions about family and where they live. If they have or are planning on committing crimes in the states etc. There might also be a few questions specifically targeted towards the K1 visa. Like the student visa had questions about where I was going to study.

Thank you so much for that clarification!!! Let's hope for news for all of us soon

Hi all,

NOA of 8/21/14 here. Really nervous. My fiancee' and I are both divorced, and we only met for a week at first. We talked for 6 months almost none stop, then decided to meet and I proposed. I hope the best for everyone here. Good luck! But if you guys can make some suggestions, because I feel like I have red flags because of the divorce situation.

I too am divorced. I'm told as long as you both are legally divorced and eligible to marry, you are ok. Best of luck!!! Hoping for approvals soon!!

It surprised the heck out of us too, I was settling down to a late Feb, early March approval. Obviously for April and myself it is great news but does highlight the inconsistencies in the system. I keep my fingers crossed that this will be the beginning of more August approvals. Good luck all.

Maybe a few like yourself, but all of the July filers are still sitting around wondering when it'll be their turn! I'm a July filer..

I wish I had an answer asdfmkay. They are working through the backlog, but what system they use is a mystery. We never phoned or chased up, and like I said earlier, based on current timelines I was expecting late Feb early March. I hope you are approved soon.
