I asked this question, the tier 2 gentleman said April/May to be here and married if nothing goes wrong. I hope this helps!

Oh thank goodness. I thought you meant April/May for NOA2 and I was freaking out over here!

So how long are the NVC/Embassy bits likely to take for your local embassy etc ? In other words when might you expect to hear regarding your NOA2?

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number
Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere,and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

I honestly don't know. This process honestly is so confusing. When you submit your K1 application what do they look at besides background checks, etc that takes so long? I'm sure some of it is processing. I've heard once everything hits the Embassy in London they move fast.

Ok... so they could be saying approval late January or February... (just trying to do some optimistic calculations here...haha)

TSC is usually pretty quick getting them to NVC - and then our Embassy is very quick at processing from there as well. As far as what TSC does, I have read in the past that to process a petition takes about 20mins so I guess it is the queue that is holding us up. There doesn't seem to be much happening at present so whether that is other visa types taking priority or making changes to the system or what I have no idea but it is really dragging on.

I lost my mother unexpectedly during our visa process. Before she died, I was telling her how frustrated I was with how long this process took. She understood but also said, " all things worth wanting and having are worth fighting for and worth the wait." However...I know she would be questioning at this point what actually takes so long lol.

Isn't it interesting how as time goes on you draw on those words and when you need them they take on a whole new meaning and value. I think that what she said is very true.

There does seem to be a real lag at the moment and I'm kind of hoping its like the calm before the storm and that the pace will suddenly get moving.. and if not... its only a matter of weeks and not months. Then we'll all probably be running around in circles making lists of all the things we should have done in preparation and haven't, and asking ourselves why we didn't.

Believe me, I know !! Things have been really tough lately and all the running, singing, staying busy is leaving me exhausted - but no further ahead.

It has to happen... NOW would be nice !!!

I've got this new thing now where I am starting to think...(or try to think)... its almost mid January... Hey if it's not going to happen till February we're almost there...

We are having the best summer in years and I can't be bothered.... the running is good though... positive addiction, endorphins and stuff. Well I have to say again, it can't be long now.
