Alien Registration number updated on 08/29...but still not received hard copy of NOA1...we called the USICS and they said they'd get another sent out and that hasn't arrived either.

Getting a little worried about that now. Wedding day is supposed to be 24th May 2015...but not sure if that will happen with the current shitty timings at Texas.

Anyone know if you can request for your case to be transferred?

Nope, you can't request a transfer. You're dependent on the whims of USCIS.

Well, good thing I hadn't read your advice earlier when speaking with my Congressman's office and had them request a transfer.

I've noticed this forum is full of people who will tell you what you can't do. Ignore them. Do what you think is best for you. It may or may not work, but nothing will happen if you let someone talk you out of even making the effort.

I hate to say it, but I think that they only transfer as the work load requires.

they will however expedite if you can justify it, but unless you are military coming down on transfer orders are going on deployment, chances are slim very slim.

Sorry but I do not want to give someone false hopes.

But even as slow as TSC is, I would think they will have yours done in plenty of time for the wedding without a transfer

Yet your timeline indicates you have not been transferred. Pardon me for not specifying the USCIS does not accept direct requests from petitioners directly. If you have any evidence proving otherwise, do share. Cheers!

Perhaps you have a reading comprehension deficiency. Did I not indicate that I called today? That was my implication when I said "earlier."

If you're going to be snarky and unhelpful, at least try to be right. At least I made an effort. What did you do?

Lol. Earlier could mean anything. This afternoon, this morning, this week, this month, etc. It's a vague term. I see you initially accused me of having a reading comp problem by missing you saying today when in fact you did not write that (which you realized after your initial reply).

I suggest you don't jump on someone saying they are wrong when you have nothing showing so. I also recommend not throwing out hypocritical criticism. You might want to read your own posts more closely.

You're right. I took the wrong approach. I should thank you for advocating to others that they can't do anything and they shouldn't make any effort. I hope that's working out well for you.

Of course, I'll still advocate the opposite.

Well, good thing I hadn't read your advice earlier when speaking with my Congressman's office and had them request a transfer.

Just so you know: you can request away, but that doesn't mean it will happen. I did the same and nothing ever came of it, especially because it was so early in the process when I initially contacted my representatives. I still waited 6 months for approval.

If your case is within the "normal" processing time provided by USCIS, most congressmen and senators can do nothing except request a status update. You can complain directly to USCIS about the vastness of difference in processing times between CSC and TSC, but this most likely will not help your case, either. It does, however, make you feel as though you've done everything you can and are being proactive, which is never a bad thing. Just make sure not to get your hopes up too high with the transfer request.

Though you cannot request a transfer to USCIS yourself, you definitely CAN request for your case to be expedited in certain circumstances. Some members have been successful with this. Here is more info on expedite requirements: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

I am the petitioner.

what country is your k1 visa going to?

Country Israel, Consulate in Jerusalem, Fiancee is Filipino national working and living in Israel, so she is not covered under the relief effort for the Philippines.

I was surprised to get a text message at 10:00am on Saturday, they even tried to call me but I did not hear the phone ring, when I called the number back I got an automated reply saying they could help further to let them know.

Hey i see ten August filers and about 45%of July CSC filers have been approved.

I hope the good news keeps on a comin

While that is helpful for those at CSC, this thread is about people waiting at TSC. Congrats on your NOA2 though.
