i don't know if this has been posted before or not. my husband just arrived to the states on a k3 visa. we really don't know were to go from here. i mean i think i'm suppose to do an AOS, but while i was reading the requirements it said "K-3 Visa Holders: Submit Copy of NOA2 "Approval" for I-130" so does this mean that i have to wait for i-130 to be approved before i can take any further steps?

first what you'll have to do is apply for EAD (employment authorization), then when he's got that, apply for SSN. K3 can't get SSN until you've got EAD.

I believe you can send in the applications for AOS before your I-130 is approved, with a cover letter stating one is already submitted and to which service centre, but I'm not sure. We waited til our I-130 was approved, but that was also a money thing too, we didn't have the money to pay the processing fees for AOS.

i just noticed that in my husbands visa the number they wrote on the visa FINS....differes from the number that the same guy wrote on the i-94. how do i go about fixing that?
