TSC April/May filers who have NOT been transferred

No news here...BTW we have the same NOA1 date!

I saw someone else as a May 27th NOA1 and they were transferred so I have no idea the inner workings that dictated who went and who stayed. I also was searching case numbers below and above mine and all he rest were transferred so it is even more confusing!

The one thing that is unusual about mine is that while everyone got a text on August 8th/9th about being transferred, I got a text that my ARN was finally changed after about 3 months. (unlike everyone who usually gets theres changed the day of/after).

I did that, too - the looking at dates surrounding me bit, and wondering "Why me, god, why me!!" - well actually, I wondered why NOT me. It was so depressing thinking about it. What are the odds!? But then I saw TSC starting doing March and going through them pretty smoothly (so far), and thought if there was any sense at all left in this process, those of us who have been left behind at TSC -- the TEN of us, here -- should be next. That's assuming there IS some sense left in this process.

We will see.

NOA1 - April 4 - still No change:( so depressing. I'm checking three times a day as if that's going to change anything! Ha! Makes me feel better though. I will update if anything changes. Good luck to everyone.

Well, just to lighten the mood, there is a riddle for you, guys.

We've got a notice of a transfer, all 3 of them actually (it took 12 days for the whole prosess), but no actual letter, so when my fiancee called he's been told we have been transferred ... to Texac O-o

So now I am kinda puzzeled, should we count ourselves as transferred or not.

Sounds like the CSR read the notice that shows the Mesquite location as being transferred to TSC. The Tier 1 CSR's are rarely helpful or correct so I wouldn't worry about it. I am betting you are at CSC.

I was transferred like many of the others here and am an early April filer - I really think all the transfer did was just even up both of the centers now, so all have an equal shot at being approved around the same time. I wouldn't be worried at all if you weren't transferred .. just worried in general that all of our fate is in the hands of a weak system! It seems way unfair that they wouldn't be processing these in order and really makes you wonder about the type of operation they have running there - I actually envision just a maze of cubes each stacked high with dozens of files and the workers goofing off not giving a damn at all, pulling files at random as if from a Jenga setup or something. My patience is really starting to run thin .... transferred or not we're all in the same boat!!

Thank you for your insight, guys. I do hope those transfers will make it better for all of us and we can be with our loved ones sooner. I wouldn't mind waiting longer if not for a war here and I am happened to live in the middle of it... we got our expedite granted on 08/08 with a promise we'll have a desition in 10 days and nothing still which makes me wonder if we stuck in some "not worling on it at all" limbo again.

You're right. The plight of those who've been transferred is only marginally better - and then only for some among them.

Among those left at TSC, I feel like the approvals have slowed down a bit after the initial flurry a week or so ago. There are still plenty of Feb and March filers left. And assuming most of the April/May files were transferred, it should be down to us 'Leftovers' next. If only TSC would get a move on!!

Does anyone think about contacting their senator? It's been 5 months for us but I'm not sure if I have to wait a month more.

Today I thought about the fact that CSC sends the approvals to NVC slower than TSC does and it consoled me a little :P Seeing April approvals on Igor's List and figuring out that they were transferred makes me want to cry. Why don't they change their timeline to CSC, why are they so inconsiderate about our feelings when we see them? Okay, I might be talking like crazy now but it really hurts, USCIS broke my heart so many times :'(

Not all Senators are good about chasing USCIS. I wrote to Sen. Kennedy from MA about the unequal workloads between TSC and CSC, and his office was utterly useless, to put it kindly. I know that issue has supposedly been addressed by the transfers, but I can assure you it had nothing to do with my Senator's intervention. I don't think my enquiry even left his office.

BUT, others have had better luck. So, yes, it might be a good idea for you to involve your Senator. Try to call them and speak with them personally and follow up often, even after you send your case number and privacy release forms.

Meanwhile, I really think TSC has slowed right back down again :(

I agree that TSC slowed down, so few approvals this week. :( I've heard great things about Tennessee's senator (where my fiance is from), but I wasn't sure if I have to wait until a month or two more, since the processing date is still December 31 for TSC on USCIS's website. Ugh.

Yeah, it says here on USCIS's website:

If your application type is not listed in the processing time table on our website, our goal is to make a decision on your application within 6 months of filing. Please wait six months before submitting an inquiry

Calling TSC and asking them to take a service request will be a problem, because the official time is 6 months now, but getting your senator involved at 5 months is OK, I think. After all, 5 months is what you were told when you applied. Also, you can tell him/her that files were transferred and workload has decreased since, and there is no reason why your file should still be sitting there....

I'll look into that! A few months ago when December filers were contacting their senators, I've read that their senators couldn't really do anything because TSC told them that their processing times has changed and they have to wait more, so it was useless. But it won't hurt to contact! I'll let you guys know if I do. :)

We changed our timelines. We put "transferred: ok". But it makes us appear on TSC timeline still because it was our first service center. It's not a question about being inconsiderate about your feelings or whatever. I have been transferred (not approved yet.) and I feel sad for those who are still at TSC because I imagine how I would feel if it would be me.

But please, stay angry about USCIS, not us, since it's absolutely NOT up to us.

I really wish you to reveive your NOA2 soon. Good luck!

Just wondering if there's been any more news for any of you who've NOT been transferred to CSC? I saw one person whose NOA1 was 1st April, who got approved. But overall there seems to be an almost complete halt of approvals at TSC.

Any of you with any updates? Please let us know.
